  • My fave splurge is on my darling grandaughter, oh and shoes, hangbags, and more ....................shoes and handbags:T
  • For me it's fine dining, it's New York for me this new years eve at Per Se restaurant. I'm treating my girlfriend and two other friends. That's 2 grand before the wine is included! But that's my splurge, rest of the time I'm more thrifty!

Where about you going, is it your 1st time. Shame about the exchange rate but better than spending it here.

10th trip, Starting in Bkk then travelling on the train to Chiang Mai (been there before) via Nakhon Sawan, Uttaradit & Lampang (first visit to these palces, just want to visit somewhere different to the usual places) then fly to Koh Samui for a first visit and then onto Udon Thani, flew there once but went to straight to Non Khai so never got to see the town/city.

Definatly will not be worrying about the exchange rate.

Where will you be staying? Wish I could spend 3 months there to miss winter here.

Don't you dare talk to me about splurging money!

As agreed, at noon on 7th November, I was there in Portsoken Street, London, outside the FSCS offices, in my puffin fancy dress, brandishing a "Hang Haarde" placard. How humiliating, not another Icesaver in sight! The only interested parties were a couple of bemused Japanese tourists, a flock of over amorous Trafalgar pigeons and a very officious PCSO.

Return Happy Day Away Saver @ £97.50
Non return puffin outfit @ £85.00
    Placard materials @ £15.00
Fixed Penalty Notice for the Haarde quip @ £60.00
British Rail BLT sandwich @ £15.00

    Total cost @ £272.50

    Thanks a bunch mates!

Just the one sandwich ? £15

    Seriously?
What's the world coming to if you can't threaten to hang a banker with impunity?
