How long do Orange actually take to do a contract credit check?
Options
I thought a credit check was straight away, got an email from Orange to confirm Order today and later they wanted to know my Full name, which I replied and nothing since.
Now I have been playing the 0% cards and have been declined for one recently (hazard of uising this tatic) and I now know credit cards if they dont approve you straight away you know there may be a problem.
So is anyone out there able to say how long it has taken for a credit check from orange to be done. It was 2pm that I put the order in.
thanks

As you, I understood that the credit check was almost instant as they contact Equifax, Experian etc but it may be if you have had a lot of credit searches recently this will have flagged up your account which may mean a human being has to manually go through your application/credit details? Remember companies are very busy at this time of year and also winding down for Christmas which is likely to cause delays. Why not give them a call to find out?

Ta, annon I was thinking that too, so I rang them. She said I had Put J instead of John on the application form (silly me I did rush through it). She then said it would be passed for the credit check and will email me, but would not give me a time scale. I have had 2 contracts with them before and apart from the a couple of credit card declines (for 0% so I can stooze) have never been in arrears with anyone and an excellent credit risk (or so I thought).:j0
