Hi guys
If you notice my other problem thread, You'll see I was having internet problems using this new PC and been trying to sort that out with no luck.
But worse. This new PC hangs whenever I ask it do do anything...open/apply a Crysis patch (I could do with one of those!!) open a 4kb text file. Open Task Manager, I had to turn off at the wall during uninstalling Crysis because the progress bar thing just wasn't moving. 30mins to install Call of Duy 4:WaW. God I'm so fed up with it.
It shouldn't be a slow system, heres why:
Vista 64bit
Quad 9650 @ 3.0GHz OCed to 3.8GHz (overclocked by them)
8Gb DDR 3 1600 @ 1700
2x GTX280 SLI
300Gb Velociraptor HDD
1000Gb Samsung F1 HDD
I'm emailing them about a refund, I can't be sending the damn thing back & forward forever. Any advice?

Well I think you've given them fair chance and considering the scale of your purchase and the high end nature of the components, your experience is definitely disappointing. Probably most sensible decision to get refund and then buy your PC elsewhere (Scan for example).
If you run into any trouble with refund then remind them of the Distance Seller Regulations in which they'll be legally obliged to refund you."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

God why do I get the feeling I'm going to end up with the same thing back, with the same problems
Have emailed them and asked for a RMA form & redund.
Thanks superscaper (will check out Scan if all goes well)Sealed Pot Challenge 15 #78

Got a quick reply from support.
They seemed to think Vista is to blame, apparently it's really slow at copying files (4kb being one that my system choked on and needed a cold start) But I replied I'd had enough and thanked them for trying to help.
Been reading the T&C
I'm a bit worried about the restocking fee..(actually I feel sick...and stupid...and useless...) What's 15% of £2800 Anyone?

£420 off the top of my head. That's pretty steep to say the least. If they insist on you paying it then I'd check with consumer direct. For one thing you're not returning it because you changed your mind, you're returning it because it isn't fit for purpose etc."She is quite the oddball. £420? Crikey!
They replied again wanting to know what worked well - games wise, as that was a major decision in it's purchase. But I let them know uninstalling games takes forever and that the read/writing problems could ruin any Photoshop work I do if it freezes whilst saving etc.. asked again for a RMA. £420, I'm proper cr**ing myself.Sealed Pot Challenge 15 #78

Hi guys

Been told I can return the computer for a refund, but I've hit a snag.
I've got to pay for it's return. Worse, Visited the DHL site to order a pick up online but they need weight details. I can't be certain as I'm miles away, but Mum says there's nothing on the box about weight, making it impossible to use the DHL online service.
I emailed the computer company and asked if they could use their own courier system and then deduct the cost from my refund, I guess they could and will say no. Any ideas what we could do?
Thanks for any adviceSealed Pot Challenge 15 #78

I've recently sent things off by ParcelForce and they wanted to know weight. At a guess, I'd reckon you're probably talking around about 20KG. Not got a set of bathroom scales?0
