I once ordered a vibrator from AS, but it went faulty (kept cutting out on me - not good!). I emailed them, they quickly replied for me to return it, and they refunded me within days. Not sure that I envy their returns dept?!
For those that seem too embarassed to say it - Ann Summers sell SEX TOYS. If you're old enough to be buying them, then you're old enough to say it!Gone ... or have I?0 -

I remember making a purchase in Ann Summers, as I left the shop a middle aged couple looked at me coming out, looked up at the name of the shop, the expression on there faces were priceless :rotfl: :rotfl:Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
I have no problem going into Ann Summers, and I think everyone knows that the sort of add ons are wipes/lubricants/batteries...
There is another adult sex shop in my town, which directly faces the main Christian Bookshop. I wonder how many people leaving the store come face to face with years of indoctrination?
I believe very strongly in bulk purchases when there is a bargain, and at one time Boots did a very good offer with condoms. The look on the very young cashier's face as this middle aged and quite dull looking lady was buying boxes and boxes and boxes of durex was priceless.
On the whole, Ann Summers sells 'add ons' in the same way as Currys try and sell extended warranties. It is the same principle, and you need the same level of alertness. I imagine that less people are embarrassed about a Currys warranty than paying an extra however much for a box of batteries. Yet both are exactly the same principle.
However I usually go elsewhere for 'recreational' stuff, but I got the thingies that I wanted from Ann Summers at a reasonable price and I got cashback from quidco without problem. I would shop there again, but I would be vigilant.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
