    Oooh, there's nice!

Just had a cold call from my main bank. For once, it was an Englishman so I decided to listen. He wanted to set me up with a new savings account which I've accepted (reasonable deal - pays more interest than I'm getting at the moment) but I also got him to approve me a credit card with 0% balance transfer for 13 months with a v. nice limit. I have two 0% ers coming to an end very shortly and the limit will cover both of those balances.

I wouldn't have had the knowledge nor the courage to negotiate such things if it hadn't been for MSE! I salute you all :T  :T

    wicked! :T :j

Lil_me have a hug, you're having a carp time of late and just wanted you to know we all appreciate everything you do even if your DP doesn't x

lil_me I retire next august and it cant come soon enough. Never thought I would say that. I think its the fact that we have gone through a year of needless high level stress. Even more needless on the clients part. But I can hold my head up and say we have done our best despite what our manager has done. Plus recently have worked 3 days on my own practically. I knew I was tired and run down.

Hugs for you it must be hard to have DP who is not very supportive.

Soappie Well done thats a brilliant deal.

I've been back for a couple of days, but had no time to post (although I have managed to keep half an eye on the goings on... the site being slow has helped a lot!).

Haven't got much flying done, but it doesn't really matter seeing as my utility room is now a work in progress and there is therefore stuff and brick dust everywhere!

I did, however, manage to get quite a bit of mending done over the weekend at my mum's, so my list will be shorter when I finally get round to posting it (probably next week).

lil_me - glad the parcel made it. Hopefully Toots has got her bits too.

Rach - I'm still trying to get your stuff packed up, so hopefully will send it off soon!

This week I think I've managed to keep the kitchen under control (just), hoover my mattress and put clean bedding on it, and clean the bathroom. Otherwise, not much... lots of work (still behind on personnel stuff!), a horrible journey home Monday evening which wrote that off, my dad stayed tues pm, and I had friends over last night.

Just about to leave the office and head home, with an early start tomorrow as I'm booked to go to the gym! I'll be away this weekend again as I'm going to Devon with my mum and brother to see my grandfather and pack up my brother's house.

May catch you later if I manage to get on line at home!

Hugs to all who need them.

  • Lady-Liberty - big hugs to you. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you tomorrow morning, and you'll know from the other posts that you have a lot of emotional support from us Flyladies!

Hugs to everyone else and more get well vibes (I'm sure I can spare a few) to all those needing them at the moment. Sympathy vibes for those who are just suffering endless carp!

I'm looking forward to another week of sick leave in the hope that I can get my Christmas Cards written and a few more of those sort of jobs, even though I probably won't be up to flying very much.

I'm off to do some knitting before a bubble bath and an early night so I'll say goodnight. Don't talk too much without me :p and sleep well. x
