*note to self... he's always drunk and dull when he's been out for a drink!

So, the children and my Mother have all had hideous colds. I'm feel sniffy this morning. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO BE ILL AGAIN!!!!!!! I've only just got back to normal after the last lot.

So I'm off to swill some multi-vits, and some extra Vit C.

    Morning all

Just a quick check in before I set off for my training as I remembered I needed to switch on my email out of office reply.

Seem to have had ages this morning, mainly because I had a bath and washed my hair last night so didn't need to shower ;) but I'd better run or I'll still be late!

    Morning everyone.

Slept like a babe and don't feel too bad this morning but then all I've done is fetch a cup of tea and sit down! I shall take it easy today. Weather's looking reasonable so maybe I'll take the dog for a long walk over the park. DiL's Dad is coming to fit the new kitchen light this afternoon. I do need to wash up from last night though. There aren't too many pots but I felt too horrible to do them yesterday.

Lil-me has set me a lovely little puzzle that I shall enjoy solving!

Johanne - re the parking. One solution is to ask the council to put down single yellow lines active from, say 10.30-11.30 and 14.30-15.30 Monday to Friday. That'll stymie the all day parkers but still allow people to park around those times. We have an area of town near me with that sort of scheme and it's surprisingly effective.

OK, cup of tea finished, I'll now get dressed, do the washing up and then start puzzle solving!

  • Morning all, didn't sleep briliantly last night and still feeling very weary!

Holly - hugs to you. That was very worrying for you.

And very carefully delivered, body armoured hugs to Pigpen!

Toochoosey - Nine Yards would probably be the best place in Cwmbran (which I only suggest because of free parking etc but will go anywhere like Newport/Cardiff), unless you prefer a certain "fast food outlet"!:rotfl:There's indoor and outdoor seating, lovely coffee etc. Don't forget our town centre is under cover too, which is always a bonus at this time of year! And weekends are fine with me usually. (Mimbles off to find pink fluffy duster for identification purposes! OOer! Wonder if I'll get accosted by someone with a "pink fluffy duster fetish"???)

Johanne - My understanding, after something that happened to DH in his lorry, was that it's a £20 on the spot fine for mounting a pavement, so I'd have thought you could take action for vehicles blocking a pavement, especially if it endangers lives! I just live where people bring their Iceland van home from work and park on the pavement (I have complained), and where people park with no tax (so I reported to the DVLA via the internet)

Still waiting for DS to surface so I can take him to work, but would plod through my dailies at least. I think I may need another visit to the GP though._pale_

    Wow! Thrilling! They've just announced the line-up for I'm a Celebrity!

Does anyone know why some people don't understand the concept of "off sick". So far, I've had 2 invites from DS's GF's mother for coffee (I'd rather slit my wrists) and "could I take her an obnoxious g*t, son to clinic on Thursday , in Newport, coz I always get lost?" Well, that would be a "NO!". 1) You have a Sat Nav
    2) You take a taxi everywhere else!

    Stupid woman!

I'm off to neck my brekkers!

Oh and welcome any newbies! :hello:

Morning all :hello: Big hugs to all!!!

For the first time this month I actually slept through :j:j I think it must have been the paracetamol I took before bed ;) Already feel much better this morning although my ears are paining still, and my left lobe is slightly concerning me as its painful to put my stud earrings in  Ah well, any infections anywhere should be dealt with since I got antibiotics :D

Plan for today is placement, (break & lunch time work on my NVQ folder so I actually have some work done :o ) and then DD and I have a hair appointment tonight after school (dry cut for her, cut and blow for me as I want it cut back into its style - my "fringe" is about 1" longer than the rest of my hair  ) which is mine and hers treat for making it through October (and me getting my assignments done in time) without killing each other, only just mind :rotfl::rotfl: Then when we get back its tea & hotspot dampening throughout and I think I need to hoover through.

Where has the morning gone?:eek::eek: Best go put my human face on and get DD's hair brushed!
