My Faulty car in which i almost died

Righty ho, so you were driving along and suddenly and without any warning at all the car stopped completely dead in the middle of the road, nobody drove straight into the back of you when you stopped dead, or perhaps your instincts when your car started to slow down wasnt to try and get off the road but to just let it stop in the middle creating much more of a hazard then it should have been.
Maybe the driving test is to fault, now who can we claim of for this one?0 -

I got my car back after an accident, after a few days I was travelling at 60mph on a busy road with my 6mth old in the back when my car died the speed sensor whet, I was left stranded in the middle of the road with traffic travelling at 60mph on each side, luckily a lorry driver was high enough up to see I had a small child, he stopped and asked a few other strangers to help get my car safely off the road. I was never so glad, it was a very scary experience - I had a go at the garage to no avail and to be honest just gave up and put it down to experience but that doesn't make it any less scary, for months went travelling that stretch of road I relived the experience .
It's easy for people to say you alive what are you complaining about but until it happens to them, I sympathise and my advise would be to give off hell at the gagrage and see if you can get a service or something free of charge
Good luck
The OP will get the repair free of charge as it is under warranty. maybe they could offer a free valet or something similar. But compensation??0 -

if you cant trust the garage why on earth would you want a free service from them? if they are that bad then you wouldnt let them service it even if they pay you!...work permit granted!0 -
I wonder if the real Mr Bond would be so traumatised if his power steering failed.
The dealer/mechanic has made a mistake, you had to pull over 8 yds the the left. They'll fix it, you'll get over your truama i'm sure.0 -

Happened to me as well in lane 3 of a 4 lane motorway in heavy traffic so I could not indicate to move to the side, move to the side as traffic with engines working was now going faster than me passing me on both sides. I ended up being towed of the motorway by traffic police and they helped me repair it enough to get home. I bought another car a day later and scrapped that one. No warning, just one minute fine next dead. The earth lead had sheared at the joint with the bodywork, if it had been a diesel I could have kept going but no luck that one was petrol. I don't think you can blame her for getting stuck in the middle to be honest. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

It's hard to explain but as I felt the car slowing down on a single carriage way I managed t pull into the middle of the road in an attempt to try and get into a near by garage but unfortunately the car did not have enough power so I ended up in the middle of a road with traffic passing me on either side at 60 mph as for my driving ability I've been driving 10 years and have covered many accidents with no accidents that I have been at fault, unfortunatly twice I have been driven into by more inexperienced drivers.
I agree with the others maybe not a service but a free valet or something as a good will gesture but I don't agree with the tone of some of the postsBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -

Well the OP to me sounded a lot like it was saying, "Something horrid happened to me and so I demand that Big Bad Company gives me a load of cash." That's an attitude that winds a lot of people up so I can see why people started being horrid back.
However..................
Not everyone is blessed with the testicular fortitude that a lot of the critical posters clearly possess and many people panic when scary things happen. Mrs Generali is a little like that. Sometimes she just freezes.0 -
