Just started getting shopping delivered and it was only once the guy had gone that I wondered if I should have tipped him? What do you do?

I don't tip my Tesco Delivery Men.
I was going to phone them up once though as I had a REALLY nice bloke deliver my shopping. I wandered if they had an "employee of the month" thing or something. Never did though.
The one I usually have is always horrible to me about the fact that he is parked illegaly (I live on a main road and the parking spaces...layby type things...are usually taken up). As if it's my fault?0 -
I never have either!0

You dont have to but if you felt that he had gone out of his way to help you then maybe tip him, oh maybe its not a good idea as they may not be able to accept it as maybe it can be classed as a donation,0

my hubby is a tesco delivery man and says "it's nice when we do get a tip, especially if it's a big order/long walk/up a lot of stairs/really heavy, but it's not a necessity, does make you remember the nice customers tho and you will always got the extra mile for them next time you see you have a delivery for them."
i know he appreciates it when he is tipped but he knows it's not a 'service charge' and he is paid to deliver the shopping so he will whether or not the customer tips him.
