You were advised to make a formal complaint a few days ago (although to the MD, not through the normal channels which I'd have done)...have you done so yet?
They won't give you the details of the other account holder for data protection reasons (and rightly so). Your best approach (in addition to the formal complaint) is to write the other account holder a letter and ask A&L to pass it onto him/her...and hope they have a conscience.
