    Yeah, my mum uses Turkey mince in Lasagne and everything else requiring mince. She loves it, I guess its just your own personal preference to be honest. :)
    I know my spelling is shocking :eek: It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:
  • Personally I buy Tesco Soy mince 375g for £1.35 add beef/chicken stock(Tesco OB 10p&29p) expands about 3 or 4 times I think no fat or grease and just add to whatever I am making.

    It`s not exactly like meat but is healthier, less fatty and makes the washing up a lot easier:D :D

    and no I am not a vegetarian just got fed up of poor quality gungy mince(cheap stuff and the not so cheap steak minces too).

    Yep me too, was amazed the first time I cooked as to how little fat came out of it, if any. comapred to shop brought stuff. never buy shop stuff now.:D

    When I had hands that worked I used to mince my own. That way I knew exactly what I was eating! I think you can get a new mincer that clamps on to your worktop/table for about £15 but it might be worth asking on freecycle!
