Arrived in my usual inbox okThis won't work in the way you think. Bayesian filtering is based upon past trends. So, because I get lots of email from investment/financial companies, my bayesian filter generally treats similar mail as "good". Conversely if you mainly get email about football and you get lots of financial spam, your bayesian filter is more likely to classify the FSCS mail as spam.
That's not exactly how it works, but it's the principle. It's why everyone will have a different filter criteria which will undermine your poll. Google Bayesian filtering for more.
I understand how Bayesian filters work but I wasn't particularly targetting those or email client filters when I originally set up the poll. I was more interested in how many ISP's/email providers were blocking at source as a couple of people were suggesting that FSCS emails were universally being caught in spam traps.
For example, I use Gmail and have numerous addresses that I use for various things, i.e. personal mail (which includes financial stuff), forum registrations, online shopping, and several throwaway addresses.
I'm always interested to see which email addresses attract different sorts of spam and I have to say that it is my forum registration email that almost exclusively attracts financial phishing emails from various banking institutions. The online shopping email generally attracts the penis enlargement, pharmeceutical type mails and the rest get a mixture of long lost friends from Nigeria, and emails trying to sell me rolex watches as well as the usual carp!
My personal email receives approx 2 spam emails a month so by your reckoning the Bayesian filter is redundant in this case
I use Thunderbird as my email client so I never see any spam unless I log into Gmail's web interface.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Was diverted by spam filter to junk mailLots of people on TalkTalk had their emails blocked completely, someone on another thread called the FSCS helpdesk (how they got through I don't know) and was told that 350 talktalk customers hadn't received emails. I had to change my address in my ICESAVE account to an alternative and send a blank email to get the first email.

Arrived in my usual inbox ok42/69 (at time of writing) people got it direct to their in-box - clearly 100% of the emails were marked as spam as mentioned in other threads!!!one!!!!eleven!!!Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Chamelion - I would maybe include in your poll those who (to their knowledge) never received an email either in inbox, junk/spam0

Question - Was your FSCS email diverted by Spam filter?
Answer - No, it arrived normally. My ISP is Zen Internet.0 -
Was diverted by spam filter to junk mailI have not received my first email - I am with talktalk and the problem must be with them although they deny it. I set up a Gmail address and received the first email straight away by automation from the fscs. No good to me though, I cant change the email address on my Icesave account0

I'm with TalkTalk and am still waiting for first email. Tried sending the blank email to generate an auto reply but that has not worked.0

Arrived in my usual inbox okHave either of you spoken to TalkTalk about this? It seems quite a large number of people have had problems receiving the email via their servers.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
