Ouch, that's embarrassing!
Hmm no, what's the Icesave thread got to do with anything?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
It seems that transfers from KE are all being sent by CHAPS, although late, even if you request BACS. My conclusion is that they are so snowed under that it's taking them about 4 days to process transfers out, so they are transferring Tuesday's requests today and sending them by CHAPS. You've got to admire them for that - they could easily just send them out late by BACS and make you wait an extra 3 working days on top...
So the moral of the story is, don't waste money requesting a CHAPS transfer out, because it won't be any quicker. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0 -

Hi ya Everyone,
Now that ICICI and K Edge have cut there rates I was wondering if anyone was using the B Midshire account http://www.askbm.co.uk/savings/i/easy/intro.asp or is there something out there much better?....
I looked at the Tesco one and it says it is dropping the interest by .50 % on 27th November http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/savings/savingsaccounts/internetsaver/apply.jsp
so i'm assuming it will now be almost the same as B Midshire....where to now?
Any other ideas other than just sticking with B Midshire for now please?

Search and read the threads on this forum, there are plenty discussing BM and Tesco, asking that question in the middle of another thread won't get you a response.0 -
Cheers....thanx for that Isofa :cheesy:0

For next week, I'll put in capital letters not to vote unless email received lol.0 -
I have read all the thread (and the ING/KE site) but...has anybody with a KE been notified that the rates is dropping - we have to be give 30days notice (by law?) don't we? So are we not receiving the higher rate still?
Philip
P.S. If not, time to move:rotfl:
the rate's been dropped for the last few days on the KE website and I received an e mail notifying me of the drop early this evening. KE are still accepting money into our basic savings accounts but told me this evening it's possible that ING will let KE run as it's doing at present ie separate call centre/website but that's not writ in stone0 -
I still haven't received an e-mail about this although I spotted it was reduced when i started this thread. What does the 30 days mean. Does this mean they have 30 days to tell us about a rate change that has already taken place? What rights if they don't contact us?Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0
