  • As long as you are happy, that's the main thing ;-)
....and the fact is that by waiting till now you have paid a lot less than many people who bought 2000ltrs a few weeks ago .
    Maybe it's just me

Wish my oil usage was only £30 per month, or anywhere near! I guess you have a small, well-insulated house and don't run the heating very much, to be only expecting to use 800 litres a year? We use 3000 litres per year - but we're trying very hard to cut down. I understand a typical usage is about 2000 litres per year?

We have a large house we just use wisely, the last house we lived in was around the same size and we used 500 litres a year, the people that used to live here used 500 so I am hoping this amount I have just brought will last til next November

Amazing. Does that do all your heating and hot water? I think you need to be sharing your secrets with us - there was a thread on here a short time ago about oil usage, and I don't think anyone was under 2000 litres per year!
  • Bex4lads - Im guessing you are using CPS fuels in Long Stratton? If not maybe give them a call to compare - My parents came from Norfolk and I seem to remember they had a "budget account" for oil with them - this was many moons ago I hasten to add!

Well our main secret is we have fireplaces in almost all the room, and a forest in the back garden so an unlimited supply of wood, so in the evening we put the fires on at that really heats the house up, we only use oil for hot water and heating in the morning really.

No it was black cat fuels, CPS and Goff are the same company (use to work for goff) and one undercuts the other so they hope you go with the cheaper one, Goff quoted .49p and CPS was .47p and neither did a budget plan until you had ordered from them and paid in full twice. I have now recieved my oil this morning so thanks everyone.
