Tesco. Empty shelves and poor quality

I did a shop this morning, in my local large tesco and I used a shopping list so that I would not impulse buy. I went in at 9 am and wandered through the aisles as usual. Take the fresh fish counter, I bought a few herrings but nearly puked at the state of some of the other fish on display eg the expensive monk fish was dry and curled with cream coloured stale patches. The mixed fish in a dish for fish pie was dry and curling
Many shelves were virtually empty and the store looks like a run down market. Really shocking downgrading in my opinion and if they are trying to copy aldi or lidl then they are doing a very poor job
You really do have to keep your wits about you when in there

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I agree Kittie. I rarely frequent my local Tesco (actually my nearest food shop). I went there this week however and came out cross and irritated. Yes, poor quality and as my local store has just finished a refit, chaos because no one knows where anything is, less room because they've squeezed more stuff in and fed up staff.
I drive 10 mins to my nearest Waitrose where I pay more but get better quality, more local produce, staff on the fish, deli and meat counters who really know their stuff and are pleased to help (I'm not saying that all Tesco staff are unhelpful btw), more space, a calmer atmosphere and I leave feeling a happy, satisfied customer.0 -
Store issue, not nationwide, to be honest use a local fishmonger,I did a shop this morning, in my local large tesco and I used a shopping list so that I would not impulse buy. Maybe the delivery from the distribution centre hasn't come in or is late being unloaded or the tip and fill team wasn't available. Many shelves were virtually empty and the store looks like a run down market. Really shocking downgrading in my opinion and if they are trying to copy aldi or lidl then they are doing a very poor job

Tell you what really annoys me about Tesco, They are open 24hrs a day and still wait for saturday morning to wheel out those bl**dy cages to fill up the shelves. Went today and there must have been a dozen at least around the store 3 in one isle  as if it isnt busy enough.
The fruit and veg in all the supermarkets is shocking at the moment very poor quality. Wish we had a local farm shop.My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)
I can spell...................I just cant type

Yeah, actually I have and all are part of tesco distributionOurs is delivered via Livi .and we ain't lazy.
Have you tried filling two 26 mod aisles in an 8 hour shift with load and backstock to a high standard?
You see in my store, the night staff used to b1tch about their work instead of doing it0
