No, I won't provide you with a link thereto.

That is because you can't, as one won't exist.

I am tiring of this. Here's the deal. Take your life in your hands and, at random, select an 0845 number which, on a Sunday, will ring but which is unlikely to be answered immediately (so it won't cost you anything).

If you have a 18185 account, ensure the tariff announcement is switched on.

Dial 08081703703 and wait for the instruction to proceed.

Dial your selected number and then the # as instructed.

    Listen.

If you hear "One P per minute" I am a liar (or stupid in your parlance).

If you hear, "Half a P per minute" I am not.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Maybe you should ask Martin to adjust his statement on the UK Callchecker, http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/ukcallchecker/
where he says; - "Always double-check prices on providers websites before calling." and, "Please remember the information listed here comes from the providers automatically. Before making the the call always double check on the provider's own website", to read something like, " check first with Heinz,. as he is always right".
    (no one is always right).

I, and others have checked the providers website, and it contradicts you.

I never called you a liar or stupid, (stop putting words into posters mouths), in fact I said, "Heinz, you post a lot of good advice on this forum", in my post #11.

If you have a problem with the site instructions, then that is your problem not mine, I posted a genuine query, and you choose to argue and post silly comments instead of providing evidence.

Wonder why you removed your post to where this quote came from?

Had something to do with your hearing and your bills. And was, I think, between my posts #11 & #12, as that appears to be where I got the quote from!

Found it, it was your post #12 until you removed it; -

No, I won't provide you with a link thereto.

Hi Heinz, being an inquisitive person (sometimes) I dialled a random 0845 number and got the "half a p per minute" message. I've not made a will so I'm hoping this won't result in my premature demise :rotfl:

Personally I do not use 084/087 numbers unless absolutely necessary,(which in reality is just about never), but would need to trust the website of the company rather than some one who does not seem to be able to back up their comments, as would others who come onto this forum.

Then why are you wasting so much time and space arguing the toss about it with people who obviously have, including suggesting they don't know what they are talking about?

[Rhetorical question; don't bother to answer.]

    Half a p per minute
