    Spot on, it doesn't matter if the seller warned you to get it changed or not, the seller, at least in part is responsible.
  • Makes me seem like I'm doing my best not to take advantage of my rights but I have had a look at several sites on Consumer Rights, Sale of goods acts and how both relate to Used Cars.
    They all seem to suggest that you do have some rights but it's different to buying new goods and I think the fact that I asked and was told about the Cambelt makes things difficult.
    But it also states on the consumer direct website that it should be "Reasonably fit for any normal purpose. It should get you from A to B". Hmm!
