I was hoping to get some of the No7 Skincare sets today, as yesterday there were literally shelves full all reduced to £3.75, and I heard they were 3for2. Went in at lunchtime today, and they had ALL gone. The assistant told me that they were very popular indeed (not surprised at £2.50 for 3!!), so I had to go for the two different nail sets instead. So with those 6 sets, and my DR stuff, and some of the reduced Christmas bits - great for when my girls go to parties - I spent £21 and worked out that I got £158-worth of stuff!!!

Still loads of leaflets left, but I didn’t get any more. I’ve still got a couple in my purse.

Also loads of new TD and DR stuff on the shelves today, including the hand care sets.

Worst thing is, my AC has packed in - probably through overuse! A bit miffed, as I couldn't get any vouchers from the machine.

To get to my nearest largeish Boots I go though 8 speed cameras. I was so excited this morning at the thought of all the goodies that I was going to get I can't remember going through the second one at all never mind the speed I was doing so it might have cost me dear. Local rumour has it that there's only one camera and it gets moved around so lets hope I missed it!

Anyway, when I got there i did manage to get some DR and TD. The TD line filler is good - polyfiller for wrinkles and the DR rescue balm (£8 but bogof so 2 for £3) is like Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream but smells better. I took a few leaflets for a friend and handed some to a couple of other customers then overheard the SA say they were going to take them off the display because "everyone would be getting them" I said that surely that's what Boots wanted but I suspect that she had herself and other staff in mind so I had no compunction in going to another display and grabbing a fistful!

Still on the shelves with £1.00 voucher from De stress leaflet the lialac one is the essential aromatherapy candles which are £1.49 but scan half price so effectively free.
I couldn't see them- but it alerted me to the £1 off the botanics £10 de-stress massage kit, now reduced to£2.50. It has a pic of this exact set in the lilac leaflet and there were loads left.HOWEVER I only got 1 as I had to argue the toss for 5 minutes with sa as it would not scan. She said that it was because it was already reduced. I said then why was it in their January leaflet if you couldn't use it ? She looked at the small print then gave it to me- I'll get more tomorrow unless you get there first and clean it out! :rotfl:

My local store doesn't have any AC machines so I picked up the following and used my points:).

The Simpsons socks and deodorant for £3 instead of £8
Shower gel and radio for £2 instead of £10
Aromatic handwash and hand lotion in lavendar and in a nice chrome stand
£3 instead of £6 (not such a big bargain but have someone who will love it!)
Evening Primrose toiletry bag with shower creme, body lotion and moisturising cream for £2 instead of £8
Natural Collection mesh gift bag three different things in £1.50 instead of £7

I had looked for the orange/yellow leaflets but couldn't see any so asked assistant if they had any and she went and got me one. I had looked to see where she had gone to collect them (right in front of the queue for pharmacy!) so after I had bought my points goodies I went over there and helped myself. Felt a little greedy as I thought I had picked up loads but in fact I had just picked up four and there were loads there. So I now don't feel guilty;)!!

Oops went in to another boots store this afternoon as I had something reserved at Argos and the town I went today did not have the goods in stock.

Anway went to the AD machine and printed off 50 point voucher for there own brand shampoo. It is the ones with Henna etc in them. Also had 100 point voucher for pure range. Well both items on Bogof. And got another TD item for the grand total of £3.28 and £2.13 back inpoints :j means I nearly got back what I spent in points this morning. And it is stuff that I will need over the coming months. So boots will see a drought from me in buying over the next few months. Or just see me using my AD points when I need something.

Strange I had a 75 points for a £10 this morning and this afternoon different town and county got a 50 points for a £7.50 spend. Freaky the one I got this afternoon was better then this morning. And I could have put the shopping through in two different lots and got an extra 24 points.

Strange again as this morning had 150 point voucher for EI had that and used it in Nov last year. Also I now used the shampoo voucher twice. Printed out at two different times. I wish the vouchers once printed lasted a week or two. As I don't get to a shop with an AD every few months.

But now I am on the mailing list get lots of extra points and freebies. Nice one Boots. Thanks.

    Yours

    Calley

  • I went to boots today for my first TD shop and picked up about 10 change one thing leaflets.
    I picked up
    2x deep cleansing wipes
1x restoring hand and nail cream
and I managed to get 1x revitalsing deep cleansinf mask which had luckily been reduced from £6.66 to £3.
the lady on the till was really lovely (but only because she didn't know where the vouchers had come from)
She asked if i had an advantage card for 2 small things i was buying so i though it best to say no (just incase) she was so lovely that she gave me a temporary card and explained how to use the card lol.

Now i'm a little more confident with boots and have plenty more vouchers in my pocket but could somebody please outline the best way to purchase items from the DR range, Also can I please have a brief rundown of what vouchers are available in the other leaflets (someone spoke about the lilac booklet)
Running total for swagbucks - £270 since Jan
    Running total for superpoints -

I tried to get the TD exfoliator today but the voucher would not scan and the SA told me that I could only get the cream on the picture of the voucher
  • Finally got a 100 points coupon from the AC machine - so just bought a 39p bar of soap and got a my time delay product.

Then i noticed there were still some £3 vouchers on the intuition razors, checked the price of the blades and they had reduced stickers on them . So peeled a couple of vouchers off - so i had two boxes of blades for 28p. The SA said i can't take the coupons as they have already been reducted, i pointed out it was a manufacturers coupon and nothing to do with Boots price reduction. SHe called another SA who said to accept them,

The SA's were really miserable 2day i think they were fed up of people going to and from the tills asking for price checks.

    No more yellow leaflets though.
