ive found the smaller stores are better - they seem to be left with more stock and have more flexibility on how much they reduce their items by. I went to a larger retail park store tonight and the items there hadnt been reduced as low as the in town smaller town store i visited on my lunch
smaller stores may not have as many lines but the items seem to be cheaperRe-embracing the Money Saving Way of Life after a little lapse!0 -
Karnam wrote::mad: i was lied to! i went to boots this morning at 10am and the guy said further reductions happens on wednesday!!!!!!! sneaky !!!!!!!!!!! not happy!
i will go to another (smaller) boots tomorrow on my way to my parents and have a look in there. im annoyed though, i made a special trip to the bigger one today as well!!
I went to two today both small ones one was putting out labels for the reduced items and the other when I got there this afternoon had not.
I assume (someone correct me please) that all prices are held centrally and so that even if not reduced on the SEL that it would be once through the till.
You could have always asked them to price check the items you where after. Since using MSE I have got bolder and will price check things before buying as Boots don't have price scanners.

Having read this thread avidly I went prepared to Boots today. The kids have got headlice so I needed two bottles of "Full Marks" at 9.99. A couple of weeks ago I would have just paid and left.
2 separate transactions, each with a packet of Revels to take them over £10. I added a 75 point voucher to each and a TD voucher and product. After paying I took the two £5 No.7 vouchers and got a body shimmer and nail varnish.
£30 worth of freebies and about 230 points :rotfl:0 -
I used the vouchers this morning from the 'change one thing' booklet - and it only let me use one per transaction. So i had to put them through seperately, bit of a pain, but worth it - I got some TD stuff free, two lovely DG products free, and also some DG shower gel - it was £9.50, half price in clearance, so i got that free too. But then the SA got wise and checked with the manager who said I couldnt have the others....Going back tomorrow to get them!!! Thats the first time i have tried a tip from these boards, so well pleased, Thanks :j0

I was really pleased with my £52 worth of presents for £17.50 and with the rest of my purchases total bill came to £25.45. I walked away happily clutching my £5 off No.7 Voucher . Only now, do I realise you get a voucher for each £10 spent...............................blow it! That will teach me for not having a quick peek at the site before I went off to the shops. Must get some Pure Soap tomorrow just so I don't feel left out.SallyD0

I went to a large store around 1pm and they were in the process of reducing the xmas gifts. I then called into a small branch at approx 4pm and they had done all their reductions. They seemed to be the same reductions in both stores.:A OFFICIAL Boots Tart :A and member of the PAH! club :rotfl:

Finally found some Look Great leaflets, tried one just to make sure it worked, then went back and did ten after grabbing them on my way out - just as I got to the till a young SA opened up a till, asked the more senior lady SA next to him and she said it's fine to do them! So grabbed another batch, ripped them out in the car, went back and did 19 more
He did have to go and ask his manager this time, disappeared for about 10 mins (I was in there to kill time anyway) came back asking where I got the vouchers from, nipped off again for 15 mins, meantime I browsed the shop and BOGOF coconut shampoo with 50 points (I think) for £1.29. He finally came back, put them all through nicely! Plus while he was gone I got another 20+ leaflets

I went after work and tried to get some TD wipes but the voucher came up void on cashiers machine. I was so not amused. She tried again but same thing happend. Had to get bus so left with just some toothpaste. Guess I was just unlucky, at least nobody has reported problems with their coupons.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
