managed to get 4 more time delay items today and even though 1 could only now print out 1 EI 150 point voucher, they had reduced it down in weston super mare to 43p so i couldnt leave the extra points even though i had to pay for it !!!

They are priced up at £8.99 on one shelf and £12.99 on another shelf at my local boots but they definitely work for the offer £7 for 2 :snow_laug

I don't ever go to the sales with the intention of getting a bargain - I can't stand the crowds. Today I was just wandering round my local town, taking back a faulty battery charger to Boots. I bought a new electric toothbrush for half price plus one third off the replacement heads, they gave me the money back on the broken recharger and I bought a new one for £13 - normally £25. I was chuffed as my electric toothbrush broke a couple of days ago. Then I went into WHS where I bagged loads of cards reduced to 49p and wrapping paper too. Then I went to Sussex Stationers and bought yet more cards 75% off and a really nice Pentel pencil and pen set for £2.20.

Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful posts, my cupboards are packed full with EI, Evian and now Time Delay.

I dropped by a few different Boots today and in almost all cases I didn't have any problems. Each Time Delay product was run through the till as a seperate transaction, however at one point the till stated that too many of the coupons had been run through the till. The SA then called a manager who told me that the till stated only one per customer, even though I pointed out to her that the coupon said one per transaction. She took back all of my Time Delay products except for 1 which I got to keep. Luckily I was able to take all of my unused coupons with me to another store...

I too visited a few Boots stores and got quite a few products. The assistants seemed fine with putting them through separately but on 2 seperate occasions there seemed to be some problem after a few had gone through. On both occasions the assistant just carried on. On some occasions I gave my advantage card over ( despite the fact I wouldn't get any points ) and on some I didn't. I wonder if there is a link - if you don't give your card the till can't tell that you're the same customer by linking you're purchase. If you don't give it, it could be 10 customers in a row taking up the offer. I know your card records what you buy, but I wonder if it records what you pay? Does it think I'm a great customer for 'buying' so much product - or is it going to send the heavies around because it knows I haven't paid?!

I think it was wrong to take the products back though - since nowhere does it say one per customer.

Also, I'm wondering if this stuff is being discontinued and thye are using us to clear their stock! At one branch they told me they had stopped selling the Daniel Rayman ( think there's just one product for £5 in that range ). It may be unlikely, since it is part of their new year booklet but they could be doing one of their famous repackaging things and wanting to clear their shelves.
  • Just been to boots and grabbed a load of the leaflets, the time delay voucher scanned fine although i got funny looks from the SA on the amount of leaflets i did grab, never mind :) Got a free pack of time delay facial wipes, but forgot to get the stuff my gorgeous partner asked me to pick up :(
  • HHmmm teeside park jobsworths again pointed out that the offer on time delay/daniel ryman doesnt start until tomorrow!!!!(6th) and wouldnt even try it for me...oh well back i go tomorrow
i did get confused though with the leaflet was looking for Daniel Rymans range called time delay then realised time delay is a seperate (cheaper ) range altogether doh
