this works perfectly for both sons gcse and as level work0 -
The Canon iP4500 we bought instead has been fantastic: the best black print quality I've seen from an inkjet, well designed, long-lasting ink, and I just bought 10 replacement cartridges off eBay for less than £1.50 each (including postage).
...
My vote is for the Canon as well. (It's also really good at labelling cd's)
If you're looking for something cheap up front the Canon PIXMA iP2600 is good value

With any printer always check the price of ink - you may find it costs more than a new printer.0 -

I always get HP printers and they are very reliable. I get genuine HP original cartriges off ebay (you have to shop around) making them abo half what they would be new and very reliable too. Then recyle them for tesco club card points (worth £4 in deals if you have cartriges on their list).0

I recently bought a Canon Pixma iP2600 & the printing quality is excellent.
It was £32.95 from Tesco Direct. My total order was over £50 so I qualified for free delivery.

I'd always choose Canon over Epsom. As always look on eBuyer and Amazon and order by popularity then it depends on your budget:http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143592
Canon PIXMA iP2600 - Printer - colour - ink-jet - Letter, Legal, A4 - up to 22 ppm (mono) / up to 17 ppm (colour) - capacity: 100 sheets - USB
