Windows xp Setup Icons

Does anyone know how to get on to windows xp setup ???

    because i have got some icons missing ( Volume , Battery, Wirless internet icons) and i have tried everything.



    any advice ??

    1.Right-click the desktop.
    2.Point to Arrange Icons By.
    3.Click Show Desktop Icons.

    its not them i need back its the icons in the taskbar ( volume , wireless , battery )

    all 3 icons have disappeared and i have treid to get the volume icon back by going on volume controls tab and tick the box which says plcae icon in taskbar. when i click on ok the icon hasn't come on so i clicked back on it and its unticked again, and as for wireless and battery they say that they already are ticked , , , and i've tried right click on taskbar and go on to properties, and so on , , , and it still doesn't work..

    do you know what could be wrong.

    1. CLICK START-> RUN-> MSCONFIG
    System Configuration Utility will open.
    2. click ON the STARTUP tab
    3. Check and un-check what you need - then close
