Any idea what bargains I can buy for mens xmas gifts via .com. Wanna take avantage of the extra points I can get if I spend £60 by tonight. Are the aftershave offers a bargain?

Some things are a better deal in-store, like if you get three of the men's no7 facial skincare. It's 342, but online you don't get the men's gift with purchase if your actual spend is less than £20, but in-store you do as the till sees the amount before 342 kicks in. And if you can go for one of the bonus points shopping events, you'll get 1000 extra points if you spend £50. Online, you might want to look at some of the 3 for 2 giftsets for men, too. I particularly like the "non-pamper" items, as none of the men I shop for use "product" (there are lots of things like the remote-control mini-cooper, Simpson's mug and coaster set, swiss army knife, whiskey samplers, etc.). But there are loads of skincare or haircare items, and probably sets with aftershave, too.

Here's the link to 342 gifts; you can narrow by price or brand.

Is R&M I-Brush classed as cosmetics? Can i return it and exchange it with another brush, since I got the wrong brush?

Can anyone help? My advantage card is 10 years old, so at the ACM I get a lot of the good deals. However, I think I've lost it (but it might turn up), checked online, no points have been spent, so assuming it hasn't been stolen.

If I ask for a replacement, will my NEW cards have all my old good offers on or will I have to start again?

Bought boots own vitamins at 3 for 2 (cheapest free) - came to over £5 with the 2 that were purchased.
Used my voucher £1 off when you spend £5 on Boots brand Vitamins (voucher had been mailed).
Got 3 x Boots Effervescent re-energise tablet tube free (sign said 1 free for each transaction... but assistant kindly scanned one vitamin purchase and then 1 effervescent tube and then one vitamin purchase and so on... and all 3 tubes came up free).

  • I got three of the soap and glory sets yesterday but didn't know you got a gift bag with it, is there anything i can do about this now or is it too late.

I'd take it back, with your receipt, and ask for a bag. And if they're out of stock, ask them to phone you when one comes in.

Just read this through, and disagree with myself! It's most unlikely anyone would dream of phoning! But you could ask them to put one aside in your name, or offer an alternative bag. HTH

Hmmmm I had to cancel my card a couple of years ago, and continued to get a decent selection of offers. Just have to wait around 3 weeks for a replacement card to arrive.

However if you think there is even a chance it has gone astray, it is definitely worth cancelling, as if it falls into the wrong hands you will potentially lose all of your points- depends how much you've got on your card really.

I lost my card a few years ago at one of the Xmas shopping evenings. I'd got a lot of shopping and was struggling to carry it all lol. Thought the SA had given me back my card, and that I had put it safely back in my purse. However 2 days later, I went to find my card when I was next in Boots and it wasn't there! It had around £250 of points on. I phoned up to cancel, and there was under a quid left on it!

Customer services were very sympathetic, but said because I had taken 2 days to cancel it, I was liable and there was nothing they could do- if I had called them sooner, they could have stopped the card and my points would have been safe!
I was really lucky though, as due to the scale of the theft involved, the store manager was alerted and staff were quizzed, as the points had been burned in about 15 separate transactions during those 2 days. It turned out that the lovely SA who served me had not given me my card back and then went on a spree with it  Because of this I was v luckily refunded my points. But please please please peeps, if you do misplace your card and it has enough points on for you to be upset if you lose them, please just cancel your card- it's not worth the risk, the upset or the hassle! I have really learnt my lesson- I never build up too many points now, and always double/ triple check I have got my card safely in my purse before I leave the shop!

  • Hi all. Went to Edinburgh at the weekend as it is DH birthday, so thought I would treat him to some Bootsing lol. Anyway went into the big Boots on Princes Street for the EA eyeshadow pallette and surprise they had none left. So put on my sad face and told the guy SA that we had come all the way from Dundee so he very kindly gave me the EA Special Edition Go Red for women Colour Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad. Result. I havent opened it yet tho I have googled online and it looks fabby yay me.
Your fooling no one bar yourself.

Thanks Tiara - I have just rang up all the numbers on this thread AND boots.com to phone and cancel and can't get through to any of them. Will have a good hunt today for them. Last time I used it was 10 days ago - yikes. Hopefully its somewhere in my house/jeans pocket/coat pocket but I just dont know why it isn't in my purse :(

edit: £68 of points is enough to make me VERY upset!!! (£250 is worse and that sales assistant was awful! hope she/he was sacked)
