I had a very nice Boots experience this week. I went to the Xmas shopping night at Preston Deepdale very late on after my class. I spent just over £100 and was feeling very pleased with my £25 worth of extra points (having got the £5 at the previous night) and about £35 in savings on my normal 'store cupboard' toiletries due to most of my favourite stuff being on 3 for 2 (not to mention getting the No7 gwp). And I'd also got the presents for my two most tricky recipients - and if you achieve that by the end of November it is, on my scale, worth a huge amount!
When I got to the till, however, the delightful young woman there said 'do you have any other vouchers'. I didn't think you could use the recent mailing vouchers on the shopping evening (and I was also too tired to try it on with them) so hadn't bothered even getting them out. So, I got out every voucher I had in my purse and, bless her, she went through and tried every one. I ended up with more than £10 in extra points because of her!
She must have been on a long shift as it was nearly 10 pm by then. She didn't need to ask that and it only made her job more difficult. So that is what I call fantastic customer service! Although to be fair they are always very nice and helpful at Deepdale.
Off I went feeling very pleased. Got home to find the Health Club mailing and then opened my packages to find I also had a £2 off Soap and Glory and a 375 points off No7 on top of everything else. I'm sure the Boots 'strategists' might have come out with a bit more but this was good enough for me!0 -

The one I got instore doesn't have that down the side Scarlett

I might stencil "Harvey Nichols" down the sides, seeing as they sell S&G too :rotfl:
Was yours the S&G one? The ones I got from .com were the gold ones
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Hi Peartree can I ask what item did you buy that gave you the £2 off S&G? Was it the Grab Bag as I know that has the voucher (I have it myself) but was just wondering if other gifts have it in. TIAYour fooling no one bar yourself.0

But I dunno, I feel more secure with paypal
Sorry for it being off topic, but I think this is relevant in relation to recent chat.
Beware that Paypal is not as secure as we all like to think. I have just had a payment I received 10 days ago taken back by Paypal, as the Payee is under suspicion of fraud by their bank. I had already sent the goods to the Payee and am therefore doubly out of pocket for my troubles.
If a cheque is paid into a bank a/c and clears then the bank can't take the money back, so I don't see how Paypal can, but they have  .0 -
