Awwwww big hugs Barmybabybugaroo :grouphug:
What awful timing for youAt least you're in the right place hun- this site is packed with ways to help you make those pennies stretch further.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you- your dh may be able to find another job quickly, so it may not be as bad as you think.
All the very best hun- hope everything works out for you xxxbarmybabybugaroo wrote: »I have had a totally cr=p day today.
Found out this evening that my dh is being made redundant. I was ok at first as I thought he said in around 12months but I heard him wrong - it could be as early as january. Totally don't need this right now with baby no2 due - seems to have been one thing after another this last 18months or so.
Sorry I know this isn't the place but I need a vent and some sympathy
I've only been 'bootsing' a short time and I may have to give it up already down to lack of funds and I will have to spend my points on things I need rather than saving them for the xmas sales (which is just no fun).
Sometimes I hate being a grown up.
.com has the arden toners and cleansers bogo1/2price and you get an arden gwp wyb 2 products so a good cost effective way of getting gwp along with all those points if you add one more premium product. I love arden skincare - not too keen on the cosmetics but the skincare is great - I particuarly love the peel & reveal - it's such an amazing product. Anyway just thought I'd mention the bogo1/2 and gwp offer with the extra points.0 -
sorry to hear of ur misfortune barmybabybugaroo, i think every1s feeling the credit crunch, best of luck with baby no2, & its very nice of you to take the time and post the offers u found on .com xxx
lol it gives me something to do - do an imaginary shop &see what I come up with  . I don't get out often.
Yeah the credit crunch is affecting everybody - it's just so crap on everyone. Hopefully we'll sort something out and everything will be ok.

Totally off topic, but got told by the girls at work that this month's GLAMOUR magazine has a NAILS INC nail vanish thing free, which apparently costs £10!
welcome back mimi1234:D I've got the glamour mag and nail polish is really nice. I think there is 4 colours to choose from:)0 -
just wanna ask fellow bootsers ...is it consider stealing when taking GWP that scanned 0.00 without buying the product stated. For example when taking and scanning the S&G GWP when it goes as 0.00 at SS tills without actually buying 15 pound worth of S&G product.. don't want to get into trouble if doing that in the future.. thanks
I think if Mr Boots or one of his merry security minions caught you doing it they might have something to say about it, put it that way. It probably wouldn't stand up in court though, not if you only did it once. If the security cameras caught you doing it 25 times though I think you'd be in trouble under the "intent to defraud" concept.
Bottom line is that there's a grey area and everyone has to decide what their own limit is. I think the fact that you're asking here at all means you're not 100% comfortable with the idea. If that's the case then my advice is "Don't". You'll never feel entirely pleased with the item if you don't feel you're really entitled to it, and what's the point in it then?Val.0 -

Thanks - problem is though it is so tempting to spend money at boots just to get points  .
Hopefully he will get something sooner than later and everthing will work out - we're even considering relocation as there are a couple of places he knows he is more likely to find work but we'll see. It will be hard though as both our families live local to us now and we don't drive so we'll see.
Thanks for the support xxA silent (but still proud

But I am going to ring up tomorrow and get the delivery charge (of £7.50, for a saturday delivery) of my new order refunded...I will be using a line such as 'Considering I have had one day wasted, and now I am having to waste another one due to your mistake, I think its the least you can do..' while thinking 'I have seen dictators with better customer service skills..'
DH fave line is "I would ask you this question...If you were the customer, would *you* say this is the level of service you would expect to receive?"
Works like a charm....;)

Barmybabybugaroo - what rotten lousy news for you - I'm so sorry to hear that, especially when you have another wee one on the way.
Do make sure that you get every single benefit to which you are entitled. I used to belong to the Old School, and let pride stand in my way, but not any more. I've contributed to it, and if I'm entitled to it, then I claim.
I know things look bleak at the moment, but let's hope you've got a bit of breathing space.0
