Thats it , just edited my original post with some more details and correct price! was on offer for £10 or £12 in one brochure
and is indeed battery operated - never think of mains as the main plug in my room is so far away from my bed
Hiya jamtart!
Forgot to ask you if you got the eyeliner off last night? :rotfl:"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
I bought an epilator once...I swore it both looked and felt like an instrument of extreme torture...Mr BTVB swore it both looked and sounded like a combine harvester...
I still haven't seen the purple No7 metallic pencil in the flesh so to speak, not even a tester...what shade of purple is it roughly? Have got a stack of 100pts vouchers for these pencils (the ACM let me keep printing them, who am I to refuse?) Got the green one already which is lovely, and planning on getting the turquoise and purple ones. The green one is a welcome substitute for my No7 gel eyeliner in Peacock - which makes my eyes really sore, red and itchy each time I wear it, as does the purple one. Given I probably buy more make up in a year than some people do in their lifetime, it is amazing that in 16 years of non stop make up buying and wearing, these are the only two items I have ever reacted to! I'm not too bothered about getting my money back, but would like to raise the issue with Boots, in the hope that I might be able at least to identify the rogue element in these products that upsets my eyes so I don't buy stuff like it again.
Do I contact CS, or take the matter in store? Preferably to a store with a dedicated No7 counter i.e. Cambridge Petty Cury not Cambridge Retail Park...
P.S. I have this vision in my head of Mimi floating around his office distributing S&G GWPs to all and sundry..."Here you are darling, have one of these fabulous gift sets...now don't say no or I will pout and stamp my feet"DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
Gold gift bags beeped unless actually purchased with the relevant offer:
E.g. Worked with botanics offer, beeped with botanics not in offer, beeped with men's No7
There were no S&G gift bags so I tried a gold one with that, but beeped again3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time
August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card0 -

Thanks Skittifer!
Please could you confirm for me how many blades it comes with?"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have posted today at all. But I'm glad I did. I didn't mean to sound full of myself, but after a week's worth of searching, I was flamin' well impressed!
The S+G gift sets were in the Birstall store. (To the lady that was questioning me, Birstall is not too far from Leeds, I am sure you can drive up if you want the product so badly. The store is more or less just off a motorway, don't ask me which one mind). If you don't see any, just ask, they have them in the back! Saw some in Leeds Albion Street too, but didn't buy any of those, I'm not that greedy after all!
2 ladies have messaged me regarding the SUNSILK/RESTORIA 4 Men, if they both want 1 each, I will still have 2 of each left. If you want them, pm me. I will be asking for postage this time. So it's not a freebie as such. PASH, if you want the 2 x SUNSILK, pm me before the end of today. I'll keep them aside for you.
Thanks for all the kinds words and the pm's "nice" ladies, but before I cause a furore again I'll just pack my cases and leave. Ill be tempted to post, but I won't. I've got a jam packed stressful life as it is, the last thing I want is people who I don't even know having a go at me on here. I've use this forum for the last 6 months, and it's been fun. I've really enjoyed being part of the BOOTS gang, and though going out shopping for stuff I will never use is mental, it's been so much fun, plus it's nice to give out freebies. OK, the idea of this site is to save money, but it's nice to see the smile on people's faces when you give them something expensive (cheap thanks to you guys, and no I am not Mother Theresa or Mariah Carey, but it's nice to give instead of take). And an even bigger thanks to PASH, for being so adorable (see I didn't forget about you!). You still owe me hugs madam!
Sorry I'm probably being really dramatic (Mariah's influence), but looking after 2 elderly parents/going to work/cook/clean/babysit and being a bloke takes it out of you. I used this forum to get away from it all, not come on to get people have a go at me.
Will reply to pm's tomorrow, keep in touch "nice" ladies via pm if you want. Hugs and kisses to all, including the trolls!
PS. If I end up with BLUES that I have not used towards the end of the voucher period, just send me a pm, if I have any, I'll send them out.0 -

Damn! That was my secret. How did you know about it? I wouldn't dare pout or stamp my feet at work, all the ladies are senior to me and would probably end up getting my bum smacked (grrr!). Anyway, I have got enough Men's GWP's for all my male friends, and enough NO 7 Nail Buffer things and S+G GWP's for the ladies.
SKITTIFIER: If it bleeps, just do an angelic smile and do butterfly eyelashes/eyebrows (where you flutter them) and they will just bob the brown/gold gift back in your shopping bag. That's what they did with me. It bleeped every time, but I got them all anyway.0
