The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -

You can still invest in propery by buying into a property fund - some people think that commercial property is worth investing in.
i'd dearly love to invest in some propery!!! :rotfl:

I made a typographical error, ie: didn't press a key. You appeared to confuse oppose with a pose. Or maybe you just accidently pressed the space bar. I don't care. I was inspired by Madonna.

What do you try to achieve? You asked the same question and other similar ones already last year and you've got answers from many people that it is banks' normal practice. Answers based on people experiences and not theories. It sounds that you want to cheat and try to find a bank who gives you a significant amount of money without knowing you, without checking on you etc...
i find it troubling that you freely employ inflammatory words such as 'cheat' when you know very little about me!
if you seek understanding then make the effort and look at my posts-
after that if you want to know more, just ask!

No one gets hurt nonsense! If you are earning the money legit it will be on a proper payslip, if you're self employed put that on the application, The PROBLEM is that people put on application forms too high a figure for salary just to get a loan knowing that repayments will pose a problem.
hypothetical situation-
if you had a great idea and really believed it would work-
but you could only secure adequate funding by exagerating your income-
you are confident about making your repayments because you believe the idea will work-
what would you do?
ps are you self-employed?stop britain from dumbing down, help make it great again!0 -

If the hypothetical great idea is a business idea then it would be very difficult to secure funding without disguising the pupose of the loan (i.e. saying it's for (e.g.) a car). This along with exagerating your income would constitute fraud.dosser wrote:

It's very easy to say I wouldn't do it but without being in the hypothetical situation it would not be an informed answer0 -

Then again, if you go along to a bank with a business plan then they can lend money for that purpose.
What about business link and all those other semi quangos designed to help promote new businesses?

Business funding is based on the business plan, so the lender would take account of the projected turnover/profit although probably not 100% of what the business plan forecasts. You current income would not be a factor. I'm not aware of any lender that will give an unsecured personal loan for business use, however.
Yes - I'm self-employed, but I don't think that question was aimed at me.
BTW, this was the kind of information I was hoping to elicit when I asked what your objectives were. Whilst the replies you've had might be interesting, they will be of no relevance if you are trying to raise finance to fund a business development.Warning .....
