why do kids love olives??

My two year old loves olives and branston pickle. He eats branston just on its own and I have to limit the amount I let him have. Kids also tend to like pickled onions. ??? Perhaps it's just the sharp taste that they like?
Mind you, I did have a craze on branston pickle when I was pregnant....... ;D0 -
i had a carving for branstan and coleslaw, and all my kids love the stuff. ;D0

I suppose to cut down on the sodium one can wash the olives first before eating.0 -
my son is nine months old ....he loves olives!! especially the fresh ones marinated in coriander, garlic and peppers!!!!!!£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0
