Increasing Barclaycard Limit

in Credit cards
Hi All,
I currently have both an egg card and barclaycard with poultry credit limits (I think partly due to my lack of any previous credit). However, the 0% period is almost up on my egg card and I still have another 7 or 8 months of 0% on my barclaycard.
Rather than applying for a new credit card for the 0% period, do you think it would be likely that barclaycard would increase my limit to allow me to move my egg balance over, putting all my cc debt on the one card?
I would prefer to do it this way as I am constantly turned down for credit, and my applications now appear on my credit file, so I don't want to add another application just to be turned down again.
Just to put you in the picture, I also have a year left on a personal loan and a year and a half on a small(ish) graduate loan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! ;D

I would certainly give it a go and don't forget to mention the magic words: "balance transfer"
It's better if you can get them to increase it as it more than likely won't be logged as a new credit search whereas , like you say if you approached another lender it would be.
So yeah - no harm in asking. Good luck!0 -
I'd have thought that you cannot benefit from any further balance transfers at 0% since the current terms on Barclaycard [0% till 1 September 2005] state:
Balance transfers must be made within 60 days of account opening to benefit from the following promotional rates: 0% per annum on amounts up to £5,000 (minimum is £250) until 1st September 2005 and 6.9% per annum on amounts over £5,000 until paid in full (for transfers over £5,000 no handling fee will be applied). On 1st September 2005 the balance on your Barclaycard (excluding cash advances) will revert to a rate of 15.9% per annum. Whilst this balance is outstanding, any payment you make to the account will be applied in reducing your promotional balance before your standard balance. There is a 2% upfront fee (maximum £35) for balance transfers.
[Could be wrong though as the original 0% was better than this - the latest version - I think].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

Your post had me rolling around on the floor laughing - I thought you were about to start talking turkey (or chickens!!!)
I think you mean paltry rather than poultry.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
