    Today I have ordered flowers for my mother's birthday direct from a florist local to her, rather than from Interflora, I will download and address at least one claim for bank fees letter, and resend a copy of a letter to Evershotts who refuse to acknowledge any of my letters to them.

  • Hi everyone. Today I was an external assessor and get about £52 in a few weeks time for my 4 hours work :D It also involved a free overnight stay at a hotel last night and a large all-you-can-eat breakfast (and I made sure I don't need to eat again today - is that also moneysaving?!);
    Went to Aldis on the way home and bought a pineapple for 69p, some apples for 69p and mixed peppers for, you guessed it, 69p;
    Sent off an Ebay parcel that I made £10 on today and have more auctions ending so should stand to end up with between £30 and £40 as a result (old clothes I can no longer squeeze into)...............

    ......so because of Ebay and examining, I'm up about £80 or £90 for today alone :beer:

    Should also add that yesterday evening I came home to a letter from my mortgage broker agreeing to wave their fee from when I last changed my mortgage as they never fully explained that their 'no fee' arrangement included me needing to sign up to a life policy for 4 years at £25 a month :eek: (which I didn't need then or now due to insurance provided by my employers) so they've allowed me to cancel, and I don't have to pay them any sort of abortive fee either :j Will save around £500 as a result :D
    Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

    Excellent result for you today then bathgatebuyer:T:T

    With regards to eating as much as poss that was free, don't worry that will be me next week when i am on a course for two days. Lovely free lunch, although not overly happy as they serve the food to you so you can't have as much as you'd like. Although you can help yourself to pudding, so will be making sure i have plenty of that:rotfl:

    Am now on the remains of my alcohol as i have just found out i'm not on a course tomorrow after all!! Its great but very cringe worthy as i have just found out i don't need to go on the course as i have already done that course!! :rotfl::rotfl:

    I have only just realised and to make matters worse, i will have to phone them up tomorrow to tell them why i won't be going!!:o

    These courses are part of a new part time job i have been training for as a support worker, the training has been spread out over several months, but i'd forgotten i had done this one!!

    Still its great as i'll be able to catch up with everything tomorrow!
