Well, what were was promised, permitted a minimum of 12, no more the 16 people. Anything above 10 to be housed in hotel rooms.
I rang and spoke direct with Mrs. Bloggs last night, hoping to get it resolved.
Short version.
Mrs.Bloggs - The agency said you wanted to cancel.
Me- Neither of us have been married before, and we don't want to organise a wedding, to then be told last minute, our guests can't come. I then Elaborated on what we were promised by the agency, how much attending, totals staying etc...
Mrs. Bloggs - We permited no more than 10, i'll have to ring the agency and speak with my husband.Debt_Free_Chick wrote: »What do you want out of this?bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -
I'm presuming that she's concentrating on us committing to an answer that would not be under the terms and conditions for cancellation, therefore, keeping the whole fee holiday payment.
Unless there's a natural disaster, fire, death, or refusal of leave from HM forces, their terms states we get nothing back and lose what we've paid.
With no intentions of cancelling, no deposit was paid, we paid in full.
Agency stating they're under no obligation etc, on each occasion i've spoke direct with owners, they don't commit to answering questions, replying they'll have to ring the agency. From the content of the emails it would seem that they are more concerned with the reasons for the cancellation than with trying to persuade you. I can't say I blame them as it looks as though you have firmly made up your mind. Given that they have asked a couple of times for specific reasons and names I'd say that they want to use this opp to give the failing member of staff (Lynda?) a kick up be bahookie for losing them a client.bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0 -
Update on this one is, the scottscastles people have sent a cheque for £650, after what feels like a trillion emails.
Cheeky. First payment was £800. They came up with the £650 figure, because we rang stating we wanted this over with so we may continue arranging the wedding elsewhere, and offered her £150 for her trouble, she continued, I replied it was obvious she wasn't accepting our olive branch, by her continuing to what felt like, grinding us down.
Then I read in the paper, Mr. Lachie has put his craighall castle in Blairgowrie up for sale, in a secret sale.

You should write letters to the bridal magazines to warn them of this sort of problem ...0
