Hi, just recently there was a thread on here from somebody whose husband was in the furniture trade and had either been made redundant or was offered less hours. He was good at carpentry and peeps advised her about how he could set himself up doing little jobs for people. A friend of mine is in the same position so I was wondering if anybody knows which thread it was or can advise on how much to charge for those kind of services. I remember seein that hanging a door was £30

The small business board is here.
I have a very small business and one thing I would recommend is an Abbey business account. It's one of very few that have no charges. Having said that, if he's going to be a sole trader, there's actually no need to have a business account at all.0
