On the contrary, give them a duster, and I'm sure they'd enjoy it immensely.

The china might not though.

Oh he loves cleaning (well shifting a rag around) but making a mess more so.

It's all my fault. The only "china" I've ever bought was a set of 4 plates/side plates/bowls/cups/saucers with a BOGOF offer (so set of 8 really), £10 in 1999 for the whole lot.

I got rid of those last year (I know, reckless!) and so when I moved in here I needed more "china", so bought two 19p plates at Ikea, two 19p bowls at Ikea and two mugs on a BOGOF at Morrisons for £1. So total spend £1.38.

It's worse than that, I just realised, it wasn't 1999, it was 1990!

I'd now like to warn table manufacturers: I have never owned a table.

There, a hint at the next industry to fail as I didn't support it.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I do buy the odd piece: literally the odd piece....we have a set made up (well, almost made up) of fine china/porcelain all from different patterns I like. Some are really old, some -fewer- are new. Packed away now I'm home. The best thing is, though I'd be sad if piece got broken, it wouldn't ruin a set and worry the breaker too much, and the replacment would be fun to find. Its very me. I would however like a proper canten of cutlery...ven picked it out ...sometimes I wish we'd had an ordinary wedding with a wedding list for my cutlery.
