If anyone is a costco member, they had these at costco sheffield for £3.41 inc vat. The chocolate monopoly goes OOD 05/09 and the trivial pursuit 09/09 but I wanted to use them in March anyway. Thought it was worth the money just for the box!

Lesley_mac - I think your hampers look fantastic (I would love to receive a hamper like the movie one from someone ... I am doing hampers for every1 this year also!
Just thought I would mention to others on here also that Sex and the City Movie was £5 in my local Asda today, I have seen it for more than this in HMV and other stores. In case any of you are doing girly night in hampers! xMummy to a beautiful 4 month old princess! x0 -
Lesley_Mac your hampers look fantastic, well done, and your pictures are perfectly fine and not too big!!!
Cocktail savings I love the tea themed poems, I may well borrow one if you don't mind as I plan to put a pack of tea bags and a cup etc into my mums birthday hamper
Zoe I agree with Rainmac, its not the quantity you have spent, or indeed the amount of presents, it is simply the thought that counts ... if she isn't happy with it then tough ... and to be honest she isn't likely to tell you if she isn't happy with itRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Just to add to above post (edit not there for me???) Don't feel bad about being on a tight budget ... I was in panic mode til thursday when I was in court as I didn't know where we would find money for upcoming birthdays ... daughters included, but now I am thinking they can have a nice home made card and a verbal apology that we couldn't afford a pressy, if they don't like it tough .... I have even said that if things are still bad come may when my little one is 2 then she will have a budget birthday with only a couple of pressies, maybe more if I can find some nice second hand ones. She will know no different and I will probably get OH to sort his office out and move everything out of there so she can have a winnie the pooh bedroom of her ownRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Just another couple of ideas for my sweetshop hamper:
"Smarties" - a small games compendium
"Dolly Mixtures" - a magnetic memo board with dolly mixtures (I've seen silver board in WH Smith and will stick dolly mixture laminated paper on to it)
"Parma Violets" - Jewellery Kit in a Box (I've made up a purple bead jewellery making kit)
"Rainbow Drops" - Art Kit in a Jar
"Fruit Pastilles" - Crochet Kit in a Jar (with pastel (pastille??) coloured wool); could also do "Mint Imperials" - Green, "Marshmallows" - Pink/White, "Jazzies" - Multicoloured
"Marshmallow" - actually found some marshmallow flavoured talc - I was thinking of using that for fairy dust for a "Fairy Wish Kit" but not sure how to combine the 2 ideas.
I'm now working on the labels for each element - getting pics of the appropriate sweet.
Will try and get a pic when done.MFW Challenge (Tgt Date Nov 07): ACHIEVED FEB 07!

A couple of tasters (now don't groan at that pun lol)
Q. Small jewels A. Midget Gems
Q. Home for alcoholic teeth A. Wine gums
Thanks - this will be great to include with it.MFW Challenge (Tgt Date Nov 07): ACHIEVED FEB 07!
