Kitster - tried that a few times but still nothing.
  • Do you have TV out? Sometimes, the output for your screen might be directed to the output to your S-Video... in that case, you might have to press the function key and press a button that corresponds to switching your output from S-Video to the LCD screen... I think it should be something like F3. You might want to check out your owner's manual.

Hi I'm not sure but with all the fiddling around i can now see the screen but it is very very faint. Has the LCD screen been damaged?
  • Maybe the backlight on the screen has gone faulty if you can see a faint image?

  • If your comforable with opening your laptop, you might want to check if there's a loose connection?

I have a friend who recently took his laptop apart so I'll have to bug him. In the meantime I managed to borrow an external monitor and so at least I can now access all my files.

Have you treid restarting the PC as it could be a driver that didnt load correctly.

Yes I can seen a very faint picture. The little one (two and half year old) was pressing the side of the LCD screen yesterday and I was wondering whether that had anything to do with it.
