sometimes - best place to find an answer is in the T&C of the contract you have entered into.0

Regarding lost or stolen phone, the following examples are situations when you are or are not covered.
1. You are covered if you get mugged/robbed on the street and have your phone physically taken away from you.
But not if you are in a bar/restaurant, leaving it on a table, go to the toilet and find that it has disappeared when you come back.
2. If it is stolen from a car, it is covered only if it is out of sight, i.e. put inside the glove box or in the boot.
But not if it is left by the windscreen, on the holding cradle, on the car seat, etc.
Hope this is helpful.0 -
I always wonder if these policies are worth it, as they are normally £5-£10 a month, as above you could find that they will refuse payout.
Also I did pay the £5.99 a month for years then got the cold call trying to sell insurance, I had upgraded but £5.99 continued to pay out from my bank, then I was told that the policy only covered 1st handset so I would have been gubbed had I claimed for new handset.
Also best to keep in mind that if you do upgrade then remember to cancel previous policy as once the 4th month kicks in you could be paying 2 x £5.99 as I did , there again should check my statements lol !!0
