0.04% above BoE base rate for another 11 Months and then 0.49 above BoE base rate for term. No set up fee. no redemption fee. Took it out in October 2007 with Co-operative.

    Could look very expensive soon.

Very expensive? I doubt it. I can't see the average mortgage going below that, can you?

When did they take that out 2002 ish?

From memory, not as long ago as that, perhaps 2-3 years?

I have this one too. Do you know it has no collar/ floor which means it can go all the way down to 0.39%

I checked that and you're correct. My outstanding balance is about £100k and I've got that amount on deposit at a fixed 6.25%. I never had this kind of luck in my life.

I find that the more time I spend on MSE the luckier I get:D

PS The BOE rate may not fall that low though. Watch what happens to sterling tomorrow. If it doesn't fall too much we might get another drop next month...;) Fingers crossed:p

Good rate for that time, fair play that was the kind of deals available when BOE was 3.75%

    Ain't that the truth!

We are on a BoE +0.79% lifetime tracker. No fees or associated charges. Very pleased with the flexibility it offers.

You have to be careful only comparing mtg IR's. If you remortgage every couple of years (which seemed to popular in MEW days) then the various fees and charges are significant. Looking at my lenders current tracker rates, it would seem that they are pricing for a 0.5% cut tomorrow.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Their logic was that, over 10 years, the rate was unlikely to be lower than their fix for more of the time than it was higher. I think they were right.
