Who's got the cheapest mortgage?

Are you serious Steve, I think a 10 year fix at 4.5% will not be seen for a very very long time. Banks are going to 'gap' tomorrow, in fact most have already started doing it, then add on those arrangement fees, which is the most expensive 'shuffling of paper' I've ever seen.
There could be 2M+ people on a cheaper rate in a few months time.
I could be tomorrow.0 -

And I won't be needing a mortgage next time.
HPI = STR = cash buyer.
You hope.;)
I would say you need £140K -£150K after expenses for the average house.0 -

I have a tracker that is .25 below the base rate. Shame it finishes 8th of December 08. I then have a tracker of 1.09 above base rate.0

Can't believe how lucky I am with mine.
0.3% below BoE rate until Oct 2010 AND it's an offset mortgage. Even after the special rate expires it only reverts to 0.61% above bank base rates.
Tomorrow my mortgage might go below £1,000 for a loan of over £1/4m which is quite something.0 -
Could it be me? A Woolwich lifetime tracker which I took out last year. No fees and just 0.39% over base.
As I've usually managed to get my timing wrong in the past, I'm feeling pretty chuffed at the moment (and probably even more chuffed after tomorrow's rate cut).
Sorry.
I have this one too. Do you know it has no collar/ floor which means it can go all the way down to 0.39%0 -

Sell those bank shares.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
