    my 1st one lasted 2 years , 6 months on with replacement and all is well. when you send your broken Xbox 360 to Germany for repair , all they do is put it on the mend pile and give you a new one of the repaired pile. last figure i heard was the red ring of death had cost microsoft in excess of $1 billion in free repairs

    That sounds bad. Why would you want someone else's console?
