                    Hi,
My friend's little girl turns two in a few weeks :A
I live in another city, and am currently unemployed so money is tight. I was thinking of popping a voucher in a card, but there doesn't seem to be much thought in that? I dunno, I guess I like finding really good pressies for people!
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've not seen her for months either so I'm not completely up to speed on what is the favourite toy / tv show / etc right now!
So either vouchers for something good, or something postable would be ideal, thanks in advance!

The Early Learning Centre has loads of great toys for young children, for people of all budgets. All the toys also have a recommended age-range, if you're unsure what is suitable. I'm sure if you go in there you'll get plenty of inspiration. At age two I don't think they'll be so bothered about having the latest "in" toy - that'll come in a year or two, I think.0

Yes, cheap colouring books go down well, but make sure crayons are non toxic.I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0

My 2 year old loves anything creative - drawing, painting, colouring etc so i would suggest something like that.
As the above post said Wilkos is good and also The Works i picked up quite a lot of cheap stuff for my little one. All come in fairly small packs too so would fit perfectly in a jiffy bag for posting.
 Hope that helps.0

Yes just please don't buy cheap felt tips. I ended up putting them in the bin as soon as they were given. Even if you think you've put them out of the way until later they inevitably find them and draw everywhere accidentally or otherwise!0

I'd suggest a Pritt stick and lots of pretty paper bits to stick (with supervision), some small scissors (plastic are useless, metal are good but need watching) and chubby wax crayons.
Or a chalk board (or black paper) and chalks are good too.
Alternatively you could make some playdough, put it in a simple container, and give some pastry cutters.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

            Hi
I'd suggest a book. The Works usually has a good selection. I'd suggest a board book as two year olds can be a little rough.0
