I read it to mean that the 4 tickets are being auctioned together but he was prepared to sell them individually if someone contacted him, naughty naughty.

The auction as stated is clear, you have won all 4 but since you can't get the item until after the end of the 45 day claiming period on paypal it is immaterial as you are totally dependent on the good will of the seller. If seller though he was listing a Dutch BIN, so winning bid x 4 then he set the auction up wrongly.

I would always be dubious of someone selling something they don't physically have yet i.e concert tickets, as the seller has nothing to physically send you, and if they don't arrive, it would be far too late to do anything.

I've bought many concert tickets in advance (via ticketmaster etc...), and SO many times, just a week before the concert, I've been sent an apology letter saying my front (or near enough) row tickets have been double booked, but here's some rubbish tickets for the back row instead.

The listing clearly states that if it's won by auction, it's the 4 tickets you've won. But... it also clearly states that the face value of each ticket is £45, so the chances of the seller letting all 4 go for less than he paid for one is zero! His mistake, but I'll bet you anything that he won't give you the tickets.

If you don't pay, you'll get a non paying bidder strike, so perhaps you should pay with a credit card via paypal, then if he then comes back and says you can't have the tickets as he made a mistake, then start a non performing seller claim, or whatever they're called.

Also, keep his details (name, address, telephone number, email etc...) and all documentation, as if he DOES keep his word and the tickets don't show up next year, you can then try and take him to the small claims court to get your money back.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
