Based on last year, the best deals usually come up before Christmas.

On that note, Play.com currently have a one-day deal offering the Xbox 360 Elite with 2 games and a controller for £169.99.

This is probably the best deal out there at the moment (for today at least).

Argos and Comet have their current deals on PS3 ending tomorrow and the next day, so perhaps there will be some new deals.

The best Xbox 360 Elite deals at the moment come from Amazon, Gamestation, HMV, and GAME. In roughly that order.

Amazon have the most customisable deal, offering either two separate (high-quality) games for £194.77 or three games and a controller for £194.77.

The latter three offer four games and a controller for £199.99. Three of those games are average-quality, one is high-quality.

Best bundle deals are generally Toys R Us so check them first.

Various places are now doing the stand alone console with Wii Sports and Sports Resort for £150 - Amazon for one and HMV are still I think.
