  • I've just bought the Wii from Comet with (3%) voucher code for £154.

This isn't the old style like amzon) and comes as - Nintendo Wii Console with Wii Sports + FREE Wii Sports Resort (including Motion Plus Accessory), Twin Charge Dock and TV King Show Party

It was showing as out of stock at all branches but it was just the game, TV King show Party (which I wasn't buying it for) they offered me Summer sports insead which I acepted.

    And free delivery

The best price that I have seen for the wii and non game extras is probably at Argos.

Wii Console with Wii Sports Game and Wii Sports Resort. Naturally, this includes the Nunchuck controller and Motion Controller as they come with those two games respectively.

And for £30 or £40 more (depends on game selected) you can add:
Nintendo Wii Twin Remote Docking Station with Batteries (£5 instead of Argos's normal £20),
Wii Compatible Mega Accessory Pack (£10 instead of Argos's normal £30),
A selected game (e.g. Mario Kart) (£5 off)

The docking station is self explanatory. £5 for this is £5 less than a generic and £10 less than I have been able to find it elsewhere. Max. saving: £5

The Wii Compatible Mega Accessory Pack includes:
A golf club adaptor, a baseball bat adaptor, a tennis racquet adaptor, racing wheel surround and also a joypad.
1 blue and 1 pink wrist strap for the Wii remote.
1 blue and 1 pink silicon skin for extra grip on the Wii remote.
The sports accessories seem like a good idea for the sports games that now come with the controller although you would probably want two packs...
£10 for this selection seems pretty good. The skins are probably not that useful (difficult to get on and off) if you are mainly playing the sports games that have just come with your new wii. The cheapest I have been able to find a similar combination for is £20. Max. saving: £10

Wii games at Argos are perhaps £5 (at most) more than anywhere else. For Mario Kart, you get a steering wheel with the game, their normal price is £29.69 so this is £2.70 more than a reasonable price elsewhere. Max. saving: £2.30

Total Max. saving: £17.30 (replacing with generics)
or £27.30 (like for like, more or less)

Martin's current recommended top deal for a wii is at Amazon. It is Wii + Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort (same as above) + 2 other games £179.99.

Now, assuming that you like the other games on offer you can save between £60 (Fifa 10 and MySims Agents) and £31 (Harvest Moon and Trauma Centre). Of the available games that I compared, Amazon already offers the best price.

Argos sell PSP's for £94.99 and Game PSP Slim and Lite Black with God of War £119.99.

Not sure if they're worth the money though.

Edit: Black Sony PSP Console Base Unit - Play.com £65.99 delivered

Have a look to see if you can get one cheaper elsewhere:

Has anyone seen the 250GB PS3 Slim bundle offer over at Amazon? It's pretty good if you think about how much you can offload those games, it works roughly under £200 for the PS3 Slim after trading in the games.
