Alizonne Diet Plan
Comments

Hiya, I did Alizonne for three months over a year ago and lost three stone. Then Christmas arrived and I stopped and started to gain it all back. It cost me about £3,500 ish, at the time, and I was almost at goal but not quite before I stopped. One of the effects is they measure your daily calorie need before and after and mine ended up really low, less than 1200 a day, which made it hard to keep up in real life afterwards. A year of eating 'normally' and it's all back. I didn't exercise when doing it, didn't have time to, and my muscle/fat ratio was badly affected. The majority of the weight I lost was muscle and so it's been really hard to build back the muscle and see the scales go UP after putting in the effort wanting to lose weight this time around. Now I am at the gym three times a week, skating twice a week and on the Wii fit every day... and I'm considering going back on it. Dieting 'normally' when you have seen the weight drop off so fast before is heartbreaking. Now I know that I can do the restricted cals for a short time - if I kept up the exercise then when coming off this time my daily intake would be much higher when finishing, so it's really tempting. I would recommend it for people who struggle with long term maintenance as the rapid results help you stick with it, even if the majority of the meal packs are howling (I lived off caramel lattes and rhubarb crumble with a broccoli stir fry tea). Plus the cost keeps you from breaking the rules. "That custard cream will stop my ketosis for three days which will cost me £75. Do I still want it?" I am convinced it's the Ultrasound bit that does the job as I'm doing the diet and LPG on my own without it and im not losing at all, but when I did the same p,us the ultrasound I lost at least three lbs a week.0

Hi All
I spent 8 months of last year on this diet finishing at the beginning of November. I lost 7 1/2 stone and have maintained since with continuing appointments once a month to check up. This is a diet for those who need to loose a lot of weight and stick with it the first weeks when if you get stuff wrong you will suffer from headaches etc. These things are all discussed with the staff weekly and they will know what is going wrong and help you amend your diet to make you feel right. eg not drinking enough water which can cause constipation, headaches.
This is expensive and probably works out close to £1000 a month including food, appointments, blood tests etc. I found I lost a minimum 1 stone a month which should give you a rough idea as to how much it will cost you. This is the first diet which has changed the way I eat on a more permanent basis and in four months I haven't gone back to my old bad habits. The treatments help as the ultrasound helped disperse the fat and the lpg tightened the skin which means I have no loose skin hanging down despite loosing all that weight. i found that it took a couple of weeks to get my head round it but once i did the diet was easy. The comments about not mixing with friends is a difficult one as depending on where you are the reaction was very different. I went to restaurants, hotels and arenas where by phoning in advance agreed to cook something specific for me or allowed me to bring food with me. some places did not even allow me to bring a drink in so I avoided those events. I cheated once and had 1 chip and lost nothing for 4 days so never did that again and found that by sticking to the diet it works as they promise. If you stick with it they reintroduce food instead of sachets one phase at a time so that by the time you finish you not only look great and feel great but have the tools to loose a few pounds if you put them on over Christmas. They also give you a plan for how to maintain. My resting metabolic rate didn't change much and is still 1800 calories a day. I walk my dogs twice a day for an hour plus at a time and didn't change that throughout the diet or add lots of other exercise in and found that I didn't loose muscle only fat. I have gone from a 22/24 to a 12/14 and have no intention of putting the weight back on. I would recommend the diet as it has been good for me and I put on a few pounds over Christmas but didn't limit anything and lost those again in the new year following the plan.
I hope this helps someone make that decision as I know I spent a lot of time looking into a lot of things including surgery prior to doing this.0 -

Alizonne has changed its name and is now Alevere.
I lost 6.5 stone but have slid back a bit and am now trying to get a couple of stone back off. I have never felt so amazing in my life as when someone told me I was "tiny" and someone else said I looked like Audrey hepburn (had gone from a size 24 to a size 12) and I want that feeling back.

I did decide to go back onto Alivere, as eating healthily and exercise was just maintaining my weight and I wasn't losing. I am now on Day 18 and already over a stone is gone. This time I am much more aware of the ways to avoid slipping up. I now carry a couple of 500ml water bottles and a cold drink sachet, so if I am stuck in a meeting or delayed in traffic I can easily make up a shake on the move.
This time they have estimated I will only need 12 weeks all in, including phasing off, so I will be on regular food again by Halloween and the three stone I gained back is already nearly halfway gone. The speed of the initial loss is what drives me to keep it up, although it does slow down significantly by the end.
I have a tracker on the fridge, and I'm much more adept at making the sachets into meals this time. Swede 'chips' are a saviour, and the chicken nugget sachet that I hated the first time I now fashion into a patty which tastes not unlike the corned beef patties my mum used to make in the 80s which are a refreshing change of texture.
I also have no appetite when I'm on the plan, I have to have my phone beep to tell me to eat, and this time there are many more fruits allowed, so melon and satsumas, strawberries and raspberries are all welcome additions.
I am missing meat, and I will be glad when bread is back on the menu, but apart from that it seems do-able. I will be quickly onto phasing this time, so I am not spending what I did before - in another week I drop down to three per day, which I worked out will cost the same as slimfast so the plan is to use the slimfast drinks to manage any extra pounds that go on over xmas or holidays after I reach goal.
I do find it a bit sad that people who aren't on the plan or after help are commenting negatively here. I've tried to lose weight for years, and now I've found something that works for me, I'm just sharing. When I was looking for info on this plan there was almost nothing online, so I'm trying to give people the benefit of my experience so they can make informed choices. There used to be a forum for the Alizonne plan where we could swap recipes, have a moan or celebrate. The new Alevere (the name changed because the sachet mix changed and they couldn't keep copyright apparently - but its the exact same people and plan) hasn't set a forum up - I'm not sure why not, as it was a real help last time.0 -
