Alizonne Diet Plan

You're too kind
Actually I started on Tuesday. So today is Day 4 and it's probably the longest that I've stuck to a radical style diet (eg Slimfast, Lipotrim etc) ever. The food products are variable from 'absolutely vile' to 'I could eat this for 6 months'. I'm hopeful! Tonight is my first real challenge, dinner with friends. Alizonne seem to recommend avoiding social food occasions flat out until you're through the bulk of the work, but that might be tricky.
I'm not 100% convinced on the ultrasound/vibrating machine treatment part, but I'll give it a few months to see how it works out.
The whole package is not cheap at all, but for me that's actually a reason to stay on it - I pale at the money spent, but I pale further at the idea of that money being totally wasted:eek:Alizonne Phase 1 16/9/13

Tuesday 24th was my first weigh-in, and I had lost 4.5kg over the 8 days. The first week was excruciatingly difficult, with hunger pangs, a few headaches, plenty of second thoughts, and most importantly the unusual food sachets. I took a random assortment and quickly found that I needed to zoom in on the ones I like and basically avoid the others until I'm very bored indeed.
I'm going for my second weigh-in tomorrow Thurs 3rd October, let's see if it's still dropping. This week has been a walk really, I'm not hungry at all and do sometimes forget to have all the allocations. I'm not even inclined to cheat :-)
Some thoughts - they really should advise patients/clients on 'emergency' foods when you can't get to a sachet, as you are really running on empty on this diet. I was on an A&E run in the small hours of Sunday morning 22nd Sept and I just had to eat something, so I ended up picking the slice of beef out of a petrol station butty and eating that. I googled first and one kind chap had advised 'get the leanest protein you can find' as it doesn't break the ketosis. They do have bars on phase 2 but that's months away. Be prepared! Also don't use hot water to make anything - always use cold water, mix, then heat if required.Alizonne Phase 1 16/9/13

I'm new to this site so please excuse me. I joined Alizonne a few days ago and am feeling a bit silly right now. I've laid out almost £600 (£85 for doctors consultation, £95 for blood tests, £72 for starter pack and medgem, £120 for the 2 treatments, and the balance on food sachets and supplements. I now have a cupboard full of packets and pills and the initial financial investment is huge. I've stuck to the diet religiously despite the pills and supplements being awful, and some of the packets tasting really horrible, although there are a few which are ok. I've not had my first weigh in yet but the weight is falling off me from my own scales. What's going through my mind is that if I applied this same level of discipline to a normal, low calorie diet or something like slimming world, I'd lose weight anyway. I'm seriously thinking of selling my sachets, taking my first weeks 7lb weight loss and just swapping to low calorie or low carbs. It's impossible to have any sort of life whilst on Alizonne, you can't meet friends for lunch or tea, you can't drink, it's totally life changing. I can see how it might work if you want to lose 5 stones, but if you only have 2 stone to lose, like me, I'd think very carefully. Sorry to be so negative, must be the lack of food!0

I totally agreee, and I'm a bit surprised the took you on for just 2 stone. It is quite severe and affects my mood a lot, especially socially as you say. There is no magic wand; I see it as sacrificing choice and temptation for guaranteed weight loss. On weightwatchers etc I'm too good at tricking myself into 'i'll make up for this tomorrow'. The first is week is the best loss but also the hardest to tolerate. It just boils down to 'do you have enough willpower to do it yourself?'
I'd be interested to know if you tried anything before this, as it's quite a drastic decision to make.Alizonne Phase 1 16/9/13

Still losing. Getting a bit bored with mixing up powder so I'm moving to the least effort options (pudding for breakfast, orange+grapefruit drink, omelette for lunch, hot chocolate, then some sort of cooking effort for dinner - usually pizza). The swede chips recipe from the Alizonne forum is a nice booster though.Alizonne Phase 1 16/9/13

I am starting this on Monday. I have a LOT of weight to lose so its going to take me months. I keep wondering if I am doing the right thing, it's just so much money and my worry is what will happen if I can't afford to carry on with it.
Looking forward to my last normal day of food tomorrow! :beer:0 -
Hi,
First of all well done to Zorba and anyone else who is successfully doing this diet. As I sit here at 5am, I have decided its not for me. I've lost around 7lbs, great, but I have felt awful all week. I've been constantly hungry, had no energy and my sleep patterns are all over the place. I've had to opt out of family life altogether, cooking for them, then sitting drinking my hot chocolate or eating my desert. I've given up drinking for October for Macmillan so that's ok, but I can't even have a diet coke. I've decided that I'd rather be overweight than feel this lousy! I'd advise anyone considering it to think very seriously. 1. It's more expensive than you think, due to initial investment and money wasted on unused sachets. 2. Weight losses aren't quite as good as they say. 3. You do still feel hungry when you go into ketosis!
If it's for you, then good luck!0 -

Have you paid anything yet? I'm asking because the doctor projects the amount of time it will take to lose all your weight (roughly speaking) so you can do your maths in advance. I think it's really important as it would be perhaps better to do a different diet eg lighterlife or weightwatchers and go to a gym, would still be cheaper, rather than just doing a short course of this. It could be a blow to your resolve if you had to stop due to cost. Not sure if I said it before but the killer hook for me is that I don't really have to think about what I'm eating. I can't blag myself into believing that portion is smaller than it really is, etc. In any case if you do join, be sure to check out their forum as there are some good recipies on there. Good luck!Alizonne Phase 1 16/9/13

I rang Alizonne yesterday and told them my decision. They were fine, though obviously tried to persuade me to stay. First day off the diet, bacon and poached duck egg for breakfast, muller lite for snack, cottage cheese, ham and tomatoes for lunch, a banana, and chicken curry, no rice for tea. Felt so much healthier, still in ketosis, and slept until 7am. I feel like I can achieve anything after last week. Best news of all, lost another 1lb. I am determined not to slip back into bad eating habits and am relying on good old fashioned will power. Alizonne taught me I have that! And I can have Japanese on Thursday night, salmon and stir fry veg, result!0
