  • Hi, I went and did the Alizonne first consultation yesterday; I need to loose 21kg and they told me it would take a total of 21 weeks. After looking at the price list and calculating how much it would be in total I got to the amount of over 4.5k I would love to loose 21kg but I just can't afford that.
I was wondering though if anybody doing the Alizonne program is willing to give/sell/ photocopy/ scan me a copy of the manual they give you with the details about the phases etc.
    thanks :)

Well... the manual won't be much use I'm afraid, as you still need the sachets and the sessions on the machines to make it work. Most clinics will show you the manuals for later phases, no problem.

In phase 2 you only have 4 sachets a day (means -£21 per week), phase 3 is only 3 sachets a day, and so on. I hope that helps :)

Tuesday 24th was my first weigh-in, and I had lost 4.5kg over the 8 days. The first week was excruciatingly difficult, with hunger pangs, a few headaches, plenty of second thoughts, and most importantly the unusual food sachets. I took a random assortment and quickly found that I needed to zoom in on the ones I like and basically avoid the others until I'm very bored indeed.

I'm going for my second weigh-in tomorrow Thurs 3rd October, let's see if it's still dropping. This week has been a walk really, I'm not hungry at all and do sometimes forget to have all the allocations. I'm not even inclined to cheat :-)

Some thoughts - they really should advise patients/clients on 'emergency' foods when you can't get to a sachet, as you are really running on empty on this diet. I was on an A&E run in the small hours of Sunday morning 22nd Sept and I just had to eat something, so I ended up picking the slice of beef out of a petrol station butty and eating that. I googled first and one kind chap had advised 'get the leanest protein you can find' as it doesn't break the ketosis. They do have bars on phase 2 but that's months away. Be prepared! Also don't use hot water to make anything - always use cold water, mix, then heat if required.

Zorba, as it is a little after your first weigh in, can you tell me how you are getting on with the plan, HAve you finished it? are you on proper foods now? how is it going? I am really torn about starting up, although i could lose 5 stone, I have recently lost 1stone just on healthy eating and not following any plan. I hate the word diet, it is all about healthy eating and exercise. I am feel i am too big to exercise at the mo, but would like to get back into the gym. hope to hear from you soon, and hope you are doing well.
  • Hi Alizonne users!

I am about to go for my blood tests on Monday, I have already been to have a look around at the clinic in London, and have been thinking about going onto the program since the new year... I am a bit nervous as in 2008 I spent near enough £4000 on having a gastric balloon and had it in for 9mths, but when it came out I was the same weight as I was when I first had it put in...I have struggled with my weight the most since 2007, I just don't want this to be another waste of money!!

Can anyone offer any words of comfort and support?
    Much appreciated...:)
  • Hi all,

I'm considering joining Alizonne but what really what to know...

I know it's expensive, but how much does it cost and are there any hidden costs?

Does it really work? or do you put the weight back on as soon as you stop?

I would need to get a loan for this and what to know if its really worth it??? or just another fad

    Thanks :j
  • Why on earth would you get a loan for a fad diet?

There doesn't seem to be many people who have posted consistently, they've all disappeared after a while. That says something about the diet, IMHO

Hi I have been in the Alizonne program for 5 and a half weeks and have lost 16.5kg (36lbs-2stone 8lb)
It is not easy but the big weight loss drives you on.
Some of the foods are nice but others are rather yik but I suppose that is down to personal taste.i can say that I'm never hungry on the program so that's a big plus.

another one.... it's just not possible that not even one regular MSE poster has tried this diet, and so many 'new posters' are singing its praise ;)
  • Hi,

I'm considering Alizonne but would be grateful if someone could give me a breakdown of how it works and what you do so that I can research into it before spending money on it?

I know there as sachets and stuff? Are these like to be mixed with water or what? And how many do you have a day? etc

Theres so many different things on this thread I'm confused as to what you actually do and would be grateful it someone could break it down like what you do per day when you're on the Alizonne diet.

    Thank you!!! ::j
