Hey and a Goodluck to all who enter this. If my own personal circumstances were different, I would deffinately join in the walk.
It is such a terrific way of raising awareness of the condition, and those who complete the day should well be pleased with themselves!

Probably a really daft question............ but is there a time limit on this walk? I can walk distances but slowly slowly. I took part in the Race for Life last year and so enjoyed that I'd like to consider this

No, you can choose how long you think it'll take you 5-6hrs, 6-7, 7-8 8+. We've opted for 6-7 hour finish time, but to be honest I think we'll be dragging our feet by the last 1/4 so may be longer than that!
There is also the half-moonwalk which is 13 miles and for that you have the options of 0-3hours, 3-4, 4-5, 5+ hours.0 -

Have now received my training pack, which renewed my motivation to actually get out and walk, instead of just thinking about it.
Have been doing 3-mile walks this , and did a 4-mile walk this morning. I really felt the extra mile!!:rotfl:

Hello can I join in?
I did the half moon last year and I'm doing the full moon this year, My friend and I just did a 12 mile walk with many hills yesterday and my thighs are KILLING ME!! We're walking at an average of 15mins a mile so we are pleased but I'm beginning to worry about walking the full 26!
Does anyone do any special excercises to help develop their walking muscles? I was thinking of starting toe raises daily to help my shin muscles - you just raise your toes off the floor and hold for ten secs and repeat.House saving Targets:
