Great ‘Cheap Sports Tickets' Hunt

A number of racecourses accept Tesco clubcard vouchers. Then of course you could always go along to a Point to Point meeting (they are free). I would also urge people to go along to their local non-league football club and give it a go.Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Proust0

Going and watching your local team is a good tip. I'm a Brentford supporter, we are in League Two (the 4th tier) but the prices compare very favourably with the prices that our local teams QPR and Chelsea have been heard to charge recently (£20 for adults- as opposed to £40-£60). I believe Brentford are doing a promotional family ticket for £20 for up to 2 adults and 3 kids this seaosn though you do have to buy that in advance. Your local lower league team may well do something similar.
Many lower leage grounds still have standing section so you have a choice, and you don't need to buy in advance either.
Saving money by not buying food/drink in the ground is a good tip whatever level you go and watch.0 -
Though at a recent FA Cup game at F.C. Clacton I did get two pints of Guiness for under £5 at the club bar.

Man City do kids tickets for £5 per game or a season ticket for £95. No restrictions on the number of kids who can go with an adult - very good for a premiership club. Adult season tickets work out at about £20 or so a game in some parts of the ground. Unlike our debt ridden neighbours who charge much more! Suppose winning things allows them to do that:mad:0

Watch Rugby League. Simply there is no better sport (well, boxing comes close) but you can watch most games for a few pound, many for free.0

For Motor sport events why not marshall? You're helping out, getting more involved and getting a closer & better view of the action!

Super League Rugby League is fantastic value at Harlequins ground in Twickenham. I think the most I've ever paid is £15 for the Lexus stand, kids are much cheaper and season tickets are cheaper yet. Harlequins may not be the best but the club really tries hard to put on a show. And League fans are the salt of the Earth. Note: League is a Summer game.0

Wolverhampton wanderers are currently offering tickets to 4 of their matches this season for £40 for a family of 4.We are heading there the weekend. Tickets usually cost £28 adults and £10 kids.So this is a saving of £36. Bargain in my eyes.0

how do i get cheap liverpool tickets? my OH loves them and would be over the moon to see them - but it seems impossible to get tickets unless youre a season ticket holder or have been to a few matched and already got some loyalty points - how do i get loyalty points if i cant go to a game!!! catch 22!)

London Irish (rugby union) are doing a 4 tickets for £45 offer for 4 games around Christmas and New Year, which works out at £11.25 a ticket, quite a saving on their usual £25-ish tickets!

It's always a great day out! Yes the food and drink at the stadium is pricey as expected, but we tend to have something to eat in Reading town before taking the park and ride bus to the stadium.Life must be lived forwards, but can only be understood backwards - Kierkegaard0
