The voucher for 250 points that's inside the new men's gwp says it's good for any product in the no7 range. But to the side it says, very big, No7 for Men. So if it beeps, I'm thinking the SA will read the big print and be reluctant to add points on women's items. Has anyone used the voucher, and does it beep?

If I can casually skim thru every post, then Mr B's Profit Protection brigade - who do if for a job - should have no problem with the board!

Dunno why folks think Mr B is daft - their cutting-edge IT departments probably aren't deterred by posters writing in invisible ink... ;)

The only way to stop Mr B checking the site is to go offsite to a new private forum.

You'll all get to know one another a lot better :D and will immediately get bored of talking of Boots!

But the thread will always remain in some context and another lot of Bootsers will gravitate towards it and adopt it.
But that's unfair on newbies. We were all newbies at one point and would have never have got the bargains if this thread wasn't here.
I've been bootsing for over 2 years now thanks to this thread and would find it unfair if we were to go elsewhere.
You say another lot of bootsers will adopt it but they will not have the knowledge of past glitches to know what may work and what might not.
I'm sure this has happened before about two years ago, does anybody else remember a glitch just before xmas 2 years ago with a ACM voucher for footcare products and we was getting them free i think  we were all convinced then that we had been busted but if we had I'm sure MrB would have fixed glitches such as the 6 for 1 much sooner than what he did.
    I heart The Capital ;)

Message from tin-tin :) He wanted to suggest something, which you can take or leave as it were :) .............
Broclo - who's tin-tin? Is he your boyfriend/hubby or family?
Thread does have eyes daily INCLUDING TODAY! So best off not chatting about the 'current subject' for a few days! If he says too much it could put him at risk. However he suggests that it is thought about over the next few days as the website closure/till updates today with a few products were not coincidental.
The problem with talking in code is that the majority haven't got a fudging clue what people are on about! ;)

I'm happy to hear that Boots.com was deliberately shut-down and not due to IT ineptitude. (I always envisage their servers having a Fisher-Price label on them!)

I don't think you can easily avoid people posting a glitch cos if they're not in the "in crowd" they'll still post it on here, thinking they're the first to discover it. And Mr B will still see it.

  • Reason for asking was Mr BTVB went to use a 250pts voucher with a till spit on the SS till at lunchtime and as he went to scan the pts voucher (before he'd even scanned anything else) the SA appeared like magic and told him that he couldn't use more than one voucher in the same transaction. He then said he'd leave it and check with me to see what I wanted him to do.

On an ENTIRELY different note :D Have any of you bought any of the Natural Collection gift sets, particularly the silver bag set at £10, the silver and plastic shopping bag set at £15, and the silver purse at £5, all stuffed with Natural Collection stuff. Seen them briefly in the shops, but wonder what you lot think of the quality?

think ive got that one hun, silver bag with bottle of stuff lined up across the front. it looks fabby :D mite keep it for myself. i like the little one with the lipgloss too and the big pink icecream glass one!:rotfl:(although the glass is actually plastic)
im not allowed to say what i think so ner!:p

Jimsmum - you misunderstand me. Personally I've no interest in moving anywhere.

I'm just stating a simple fact that the only way to post without Mr B seeing you is to go offsite.
You say another lot of bootsers will adopt it but they will not have the knowledge of past glitches to know what may work and what might not.
But thru trial and error they'll gain that knowledge. Just like we all did. :)

There's a lot of relative newbies here these days who seem to have cottoned on to scamming Mr B very quickly!

    EDIT - hey - my 1000th post! :D

    Hello Everyone.
I'd be distraught at loosing the glitches on this thread. I have periodic boots sprees then don't venture there for a while then I read this thread and the cycle starts again. Only last week I stocked up on lots of S&G that I wouldn't have necessarily bought.
Whilst I like the idea of using the Facebook site I don't like the fact that we are all registered there with our real names. If Mr B is a lurking then I'd rather be slightly anonymous. Hey he'll even get to see a dodgy photo of me!!
    Cheers and Happy Bootsing!!

Aw....., CPG - you must be struggling to keep up today! :rotfl:
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".
