I dunno where to put this but I'm on a rantathon now. I've bottled all this up & need to let it out now. I sent similar to GMTV after hearing how ppl in debt turn to drink. Wish I could afford a bottle of drink, I dont mean to sound like I'm judging anyone, just frustration..

I hope you dont think bad of me, its just so bloody hard trying to survive:mad: ..I aint judging anyone really, just sometimes I dont understand things I guess. I gave up smoking because I needed to survive and no matter what I do I lose. Ok it seems I have done wrong in posting this so I'm sorry.

It amazes me how pathetic some ppl are worrying about debt etc yet they drink. Let me tell u something. I cant afford to drink. I'm a single parent with 2 boys, 1 of who I dont get CTC nor do I get CB for anymore, I've been off work almost 3 yrs now due to an operation that went wrong. I get £46pw CTC and £150 per 2 wks Incapacity. I DONT get full housing benefit. I pay £42pw rent as council dont pay it all. I now have over £2K in rent arrears as well as debt over £20K... am I going bankrupt? No, I am sorting out the debt and paying each person £1 per month. Its nice for ppl to know their homes are under threat and yet they are able to drink to ease the pain, sry but thats wrong. They can afford the drink cant they???
I cant even afford shopping to feed my kids.

Sorry but it sucks. Look after your own country because poverty is right under their noses.

I am now gonna lose my home before xmas unless I get arrears paid, how the hell am I meant to do that on £46pw????

It just grinds me how ppl can say they are struggling when they prob have never been in the situation, they will still go & get their kids xmas presents, my kids xmas is gonna try to save our home.

I think you're directing your anger at the wrong things. Different people cope in different ways & I'm not sure what other people coping by drinking has anything to do with you & your situation or how it affects you? Try not to judge other people on face value, as I'm sure, you wouldn't want to be judged!

I did say I wasnt judging anyone but sorry if I worded it wrong. I wasnt having a go at ppl who turn to drink. I didnt mean it in that way.

I dont really know what I was directing my anger at but it wasnt average Joe public. I was using that as an example, a wrong one now I see. I am sorry.

As for judging me about having my kids let me just explain a little more.

I had my kids a long time ago now, one is 18, one is 11. When I had them my life was fine, I was with their father and we were ok. For the last 12 yrs I have been abused until I plucked up the courage to walk away from him. Now this is where the problems started, he drank every day, he then came home and took what he wanted from me, sometimes I was ok, sometimes I ended up in hospital. Took me 6yrs to get away from that. Since I got away he aint helped or nothing. I found out he wasnt paying the rent but drinking & gambling.

I never meant my post to sound like I was getting at everyone, I just meant that sometimes ppl wish they could have another alley to go down.

I am honestly sorry for my post now. I feel worse than I did.

I dont want sympathy or nothing, I just want to be able to provide for my 2 boys who done nothing wrong. If I could go back to work trust me I would in a minute.

I have a brain tumor and I dont have anyway to make sure they're gonna be looked after when I go.

Once again I'm sorry.

Don't apologise to silly posters who post silly remarks, and I don't think you need to justify yourself.

It does grate when you see other people having/doing things sometimes and that winds you up - you're only human.

I get irritated with a friend who 'claims' to have no money yet has just redecorated her living room, spent £200 on fireworks, thinking of buying a new laptop and told me how much she spends at xmas for kiddies pressies.

I am not sure if anybody on the Debt Free boards on here would be able to offer helpful advice, I am sure they would. Sadly you are not alone finding yourself in circumstances like this and there are people and places you can turn to.

It's a great first step coming on here. Have a look around, there's some great advice to be found, and for the most part people are very nice and can offer advice based on their experience. Just ignore the trolls who are just here to try and cause trouble.
