Somebody HELP PAYG NO CREDIT but lets me texts

Hi,

I got one of those free sims from o2................

Well i havent topped up, but i have registered it online, for which i should get a FREE £2.50..............

Now it does state your £2.50 will get added in 48 hours.

My balance currently shows 0.00, yet ive been texting my friends all day and they have been getting there.

So why is it letting me text when i have no credit..............

Is this right ?....... and if i top up will it then take it straight off me.

I have about 10 o2 sims............

Anyone answer my question >?

i had the exact same problem and i was bricking it thinking i was gonna get a bill or something, i phoned head office and was told basically you get half an hr free when you first get online sim/phone, i had free calls but youve got the texts, its a new thing and you wont get charged, once your £2.5o goes on the free stuff will stop but they wont take the £2.50 off you, dont worry...i was on the phone for nearly an hr to them i was that worried, trying to explain but all sorted in the end and im glad i can help you with it!

oh and it may take some units off your free minutes also, i didnt check whether i got my full units after. it doesnt take it out of your top ups though. its to do with when you register the sim, it activates it.
